My friend Yasmin has been round.

My friend Yasmin came round again this morning. She was coming to fetch some newspapers and magazines that we'd been saving for her to use as bedding for her pets. She has a tortoise and a rabbit. She arrived at about 9:45am. I had just finished my breakfast and I was going to get a cup of tea, so I asked Yasmin if she wanted one aswell, but she said she'd got a flask of orange juice. Her husband John always makes sure she leaves with a flask of something to drink when she goes out. She sat on Mum's sofa where my Mum usually sits and my Mum sat by her. She talked about her Mum, who has dementia, and the carers who she's fed up of because they're airways doing things wrong. She's asked the social worker to find a new carer for her Mum. She showed us some pictures on her phone of her two Chihuahuas, and her tortoise and rabbit. She also showed us a picture of a pigeon who often comes into her garden. It has a tag on it's leg and she took a photo and she can see 23 on it, so she knows it was born last year, but she doesn't know anything else about it, so she wants to catch it so she can look at it's tag and learn more about it. She also showed us a picture of a seagull who she's named Sammy and it likes to perch on the carers car when she comes! The carer does not like it when that happens and she says, Don't let that seagull get onto my car! I went and fetched some photos of the little dog from the art class last year to show her. She thought she was very cute. I've sent her a photo on Facebook messenger of the painting I did of the little dog. She also showed us pictures of her house and garden. She grows lots of veggies in her garden from peas and carrots to celery and radish! My Mum said she doesn't know how she finds the time! When she came to go I asked her if she wanted me to help carry one of the bags of newspapers and magazines out to her car for her, and she said Yes, please. They were quite heavy. So I carried one bag and Yasmin carried the other and we went and put them in the boot of her car. I waited to wave her off, and then I went in and carried on with my day.
