Monday Funday--NOT!

Monday (yesterday...hey it is not midnight here yet tonight!!) was my day to work at the boutique. I swapped a few Wednesdays for a change of pace and to help balance the act with the antique store. However, I'll be moving out of there soon, that that isn't a factor anymore.
I had a pretty busy day for a Monday!! I had steady customers all afternoon. By the time I had closed and did some labeling and put up some of my new stock, it had already started raining. I knew rain was in the forecast, but the weather turned bad with extreme thunderstorm warnings with winds up to 80mph and quarter size hail.
The system was moving eastward and I had to go a little ways west and then north so I hoped to get out of the rain at some part. I had to stop for gas and at that point the rain was very hard. I sat for a little while because lighting was very bad.
I got on the road after about 10 minutes and managed to make it home safely. I drove slow because you couldn't see the road in front of you at times. I passed a truck in the ditch. He missed the entrance to the parking lot. Electricity was out in some areas, so red lights were out giving more confusion to some drivers.
I ran over a tree limb on one road. It was broken into pieces but was raining hard at that point and I didn't see it unitl I felt it! On the highway going north a trash can blew in between my car and the car in front of me. It hit my car. I don't think it did any damage; I didn't notice any when I looked.
It was a long drive home and I do not want to drive in any more stores for a long time. One of my daughters who lives in West Baton Rouge parish is still without electricity. A tornado touched down close to them and power lines are down all around her. I hope they get all of that fixed in the next day or two! I am sure the kids are all rejoicing as school has been called off until it is restored.
How was your Monday?

Okay, forget my question on the other post. It's the boutique you're leaving from not the flea market.
I'm sorry you were in such a bad storm on your way home. I'm glad you arrived safely. I hope your daughter is safe.

Oh my goodness! I'm glad you're safe and sound. I didn't have a good Tuesday but it was just because I had to deal with incompetent people. Try and have a better day today.
