Life Is Back To Normal

Happy Thursday Everyone! it's cloudy here this morning but no rain. The lawn crew is here doing the mowing. With all the recent rain the grass has gotten nice and green and growing fast. My morning has been busy so far. Usually I do the laundry at the beginning of the week but since the week started off being busy the laundry had to wait until today. Now the machines will be going with multiple loads today. I wanted to strip my bed and change the sheets but decided to wait until tomorrow and just get the clothes and all the towels done today. I had three bills to pay that needed checks so I got that done. It's weird writing out a check, putting it in an envelope and putting on a stamp. I've gotten so used to paying most everything online that this now seems archaic. I started my grocery list so we can do a pick-up or delivery over the weekend. We concentrated so much on what we were having for our Mother's Day dinner that we didn't really shop for this weeks groceries. There's only tonight and tomorrow to get through so that shouldn't be a problem. One thing I know is that we NEED coffee. I'm down to the last bit in the container and it would a catastrophe if I didn't have my morning coffee. I'm waiting to hear from my daughter as she's at the dentist with my grandson. He's having 4 wisdom teeth removed and I hope it goes smoothly. He's a trumpet player and he won't be able to play it for at least 4 to 6 weeks. That's my morning so far. How's your day going?

I am sorry for your grandson, one wisdom tooth removed is really an easy thing, but 4 it's a lot.

Having all 4 pulled at once is going to be painful for awhile. He thinks he's going to be fine by tomorrow but I hate to burst his happy thoughts.

@Marilynda1225 I still have one, I had no problems with the two on the left and I had no pain at all, immediately and the day after. Unfortunately the one to the right cause an infection, it was painful and I needed antibiotics for 10 days.

@LadyDuck that sounds terrible and weird that one side was problem free and the other gave you trouble. I hope my grandson doesn't suffer from a painful recovery. He's home now and asleep. I'm sure ill hear from my daughter as the day goes on.

I had to have my wisdom teeth out in the hospital either for insurance purposes or because they were impacted in the bone. Poor grandson!

He's not in the hospital but at an oral surgeons office. He's going to be in pain once the anesthesia wears off. I remember having my wisdom teeth pulled and it wasn't fun

Yes, it would be a catastrophe if you didn't have your morning coffee. Just like it would be if I didn't have a banana. I don't know the last time I wrote a check. I don't even have checks anymore. Yes, archaic is a good word for it. I hope all went well at the dentist. I'm sorry he won't be able to play the trumpet for four to six weeks.

No morning coffee would be a catastrophe for sure. I wouldn't even be able to function. I love bananas too and right now I'm out of them. They're at the top of my grocery list along with grapes. My poor grandson was in pain last night and I'm hoping after a good nights sleep he feels better today. I think the pain of not being able to play the trumpet will be worse than the actual pain of the teeth being extracted.

Your poor grandson! I hope it isn't too bad for him. We don't even have a cheque book any more. With our last book, we wrote one cheque each year for three years to the local golf club which didn't have a card machine at the time. So we decided we could give up the cheque book.

I hate to write checks too. Don't forget the coffee!!! I hope your grandson's extractions went OK. Printed off a form this morning that I must fill out to follow up to the lost Reconsideration. It's pretty confusing. Not surprising. Have a great day!

Hope you can get the form filled out for Reconsideration. Doesn't seem like anything has been easy for you since hubby has been in rehab.

@Marilynda1225 Monday I will get on the phone and see if they can walk me through the forms. There are now 2 forms I have to fill out, 3 pages total. Have a good weekend.

Oh, I know. Writing out checks feels very weird. After years of paying my rent online, suddenly we are supposed to pay by check, and it feels so foreign. This morning, I’m still going through stuff to put in my church garage sale. My dad keeps telling me he’s coming over to get everything, but he never quite makes it over. I may have to pray my back holds up and lug it down to my car myself.

I hope your dad helps you get the stuff to the church for the sale. Please don't hurt yourself lugging it by yourself. It's crazy that writing checks has become so obsolete. My check was for my house taxes.

Could always be worse. Never the less, having things back to normal. Well, that rules.

I hope that your grandson is resting at home now after having his wisdom teeth removed. That is always such a turning point from 'kid' to adult I find. I had to go into the office to work today, it was difficult because on my breaks I like to go outside, but having to take the elevator down 7 floors and walk across the mezzanine just to go outside and listen to traffic, isn't as appealing.

I hope my grandson got a good nights sleep and isn't in much pain today. I haven't heard from my daughter yet. He should have had them extracted weeks ago but he had to finish school and all his exams before he could do it. At least now he can recover without anything else going on. Having to go outside and listen to traffic certainly doesn't sound like an enjoyable way to take a break. Even though you only have to go into the office once a month, I bet that month seems to go by fast.

It's nice to have some 1 do the yard work that gives you more time to do other things that you have on your list We keep our food storage room full where we don't have to worry about running out of anything anytime soon but we do have to buy bread milk & eggs most the time.

I try not to grocery shop too often and usually do a shopping for 2 weeks at a time and we get our meat at Sams Club so that's about once a month.
