Do you wash laundries by hand or washing machine or go to laundry services? If wash laundries by hand, do you wash your partner's lingerie? Do you think you get bad luck for washing your partner's lingerie?

i have a washing machine and dryer in my home, so i just do the laundry right here. besides i hate going to the laundrymat. all the screaming kids, mess, and frustration with how much they charge for so little drying time. why in the world would washing your partners lingerie be bad luck? wouldnt it be worse luck if someone else was laying hands on her lingerie?? lol

My question may seems ridiculous however, it depends on whether you believe it or not. If you believe it, then the next time it is better for you to avoid washing her partner's lingerie else what can I say?

usually i bring it to the laundry shop. my place prohibits making laundry inside the apartment 'cause there's no drying place. so what we do is we bring them to the laundry and besides i dont have much time to do all my laundry even on a weekend. sometimes my mother would wash all my laundry, if she happens to visit me in my place.

Hello Titaniumsoul, Nice to visit with you again. Certain clothes need to be hand-washed, others are just fine to throw in the washer. I do generally hang our clothes on the line to dry. I prefer the feel of them line-dried, rather than out of the drier. As for your other questions: fortunately, my husband doesn't have any lingerie. He's not a lingerie kind of guy -- whewwwww! And of course, I wash his underwear, and have yet to experience any bad luck from doing so. I would love for you to share what prompted you to ask about the possible correlation between washing undergarments and bad luck though. I find that line of thought very intriguing. If it's something you heard somewhere, please do share, OK?

In the older generation, it is believed that if a man washes his partner's lingeries, there will be bound for bad luck. That is the reason why I want to ask this question. I want to find out how many people are open-minded and not superstitious.

Hello Titaniumsoul, Thanks for sharing that the older generation sometimes views this activity superstitiously. I had never heard of this particular superstition. Very interesting! I find different cultural and regional beliefs very intriguing. Thanks for sharing a bit of your cultural history, and for broadening our minds. If I ever see an elderly gentleman acting squeamishly about washing a lady's undergarments, I'll now know the possible reason.

i wash most of my clothes by hand. pants and some tshirts, i let the washing do it. i dont have a partner yet but if i do, i guess i'll wash his clothes also including his underwears. ^__^ i dont think there's any bad luck to it.

i prefer hand washing my clothes. it looks cleaner for me compared when i have it machine washed. since i stay with my in-laws now and they have a laundry woman, i let her wash my clothes too (except for my undies, which i still handwash).
