New Year's Eve Plans

My auntie has invited the family to her house to celebrate New Year. She usually has sparkling grape juice, little meat and cheese and veggies trays put together. We sit around and talk about things. We watch movies and I think last year we did tune in to one of the New Year's specials. So pretty much it will be the same every year, family togetherness at my aunt's lol.

It has been quite a few years now... probably 6 or 7... since I went to a New Year's Eve party. What I do is prepare a lot of different finger foods and appetizers and I have a buffet meal at home that is set out in the early evening and I just refresh things as the night goes on. My daughters love this because I try to have things that each of them likes and then of course there are drinks and desserts and such. We listen to music, sometimes even jump up and dance (LOL) and catch a countdown on tv. Nothing exciting or particularly special but it's always nice, just the same. Happy New Year to you!

We don't do much either for the same reason we have small kids. And most of the events on NYE are obviously too late for kids and those that are geared tward kids are for bigger kids and are not cheap enough for us to want to attend. Typically we'd either go to the IL"s and hang out there for a few hours/ but never staying til midnight. OR We have a bottle of Asti at home and tons of finger foods to split w/ the family of course while watching some of the countdowns til they get boring anways ;0) But this year Dh is scheduled to work. So that's no big deal as it's a 1.5x day + 8 hr holiday and we need the money. And he had Christmas off and that's more of an important holiday to pend with the kids than New Years.

On 31st evening My girl friend has a ramp show so I will go there to see that and we will have dinner together after her show and after that we have planned to go for a long drive and wil come early morning on 1st january and I have a surprise for her lets see whether my all plan will be occurred or not?

Oh gosh, I don't think we really have any plans for New Year's Eve! I am assuming we'll be doing what we do every night - hee hee - only so much we can do with a newborn - especially when we're not bringing him into public places as much. I will say, the next day (on New Year's Day), we will be going to my parents for breakfast for traditional Japanese New Year's Day food my mom makes - which is what we do every year. I've got to learn to make this stuff!

it has been my duty to cook and prepare food for occasion. so the usual thing, i'll prepare the food, i love doing it single handedly. i'll set the table. then at 12 o'clock i'll call everybody in the house to gather together in the table and share the food together, greet each other and then have some fun, play, a ritual around the house, the shaking of coins inside my pocket, then i'll start the engine of the car, make some noise buy buzzing. i like doing all those...

good thing here in our country, we are allowed to use fireworks. il be lighting those baby rockets coz my dad-in-law loves buying it so for sure there'll be a lot it again this new year. on new years eve, il be preparing some fruits to be placed on our table for good lucks this year. happy new year dorannmwin.

I don't have a plan to party.I'll just be at home.we'll be having lots of food.we will eat and have some fireworks.we will welcome the new year together.

I realy don't have any. I think I will stay at home and avoid all the drunk drivers!If I do drink anything it will be at home and no driving anywhere for me. I used to celebrate it but in this economy today it is just too hard today to do anything. Well Happy New Year to you and yours!

We will probably make a big dinner at home, watch movies, invite some of the kids friends to sleep over

We will just be staying at home. I will fix something for dinner not sure what. We will watch some tv and then we will watch the new year come in on the tv. We will then go to bed.

I will be ringing in the New Year by watching The Rockin Eve show on tv. My husband and I will be having junk food that night (chips, pizza and little smokies). We used to go bowling, but this year we decided not to because last year we had almost gotten hit by a drunk driver. Ever since I get scared. I am hoping that my husband and I will break out the board games.

My wife and I will be doing something a little different this year for New Years Eve. We are going to Myrtle Beach, SC with the church youth group to something called the Big God Conference and they have a big New Year's Eve celebration at the end of their service that night. It's going to be awesome to get away from everything for a few days with some great friends at the beach and get to hear some awesome music!

I will visit my parents house then I will go visit some place with them and my family. In the night, I will have dinner with them in the beach and spend a lot of time with them. It will be very good to spend my time with my family in the end of 2009.

I am not sure what we are doing yet. I ma seeing what my friends are up to and taking the day off from work. That is about all I know right now.

we generally have a new year eve's service at our church and while it used to go to midnight, it doesnt anymore. it only goes til 8 (starting at 6) then we go to a friends house (she has a big house and invites most of the church people over) and stay til midnight but this year, since i am having thyroid issues, i may just stay home!

hi dorannmwin my son is going to come visit me next thursday which will be the night before New Years day. He had such a time getting here to see me Christmas day as he had to hunt for a place that was open so he cou ld get bus fare change, then he found the buses were only running every hour. so he said he will come the day before then he wont run into those problems. he is only about three miles from where i am. We will probably just talk and mess around on the computer as theres nothing exciting going on here in Gold crest a retirement center,most will be off for New Years eve and New Years day, and our food will be the picnic sort of stuff.

I dont really have any new years plans for this year since we are actually going on vacation and have an early flight so I doubt we are going to do anything. I am just going to stay home and invite a friend watch a few movies before we go on vacation and that will pretty much be it since I wont feel like going out anywhere but if we werent leaving I might of gone somewhere.
