As early as July

My friends came over last night just to have a cooked out party at my place. We cooked spaghetti and had ice cream for dessert. When they saw what was top of my fridge, they saw a Christmas tree. They looked at me with pretty strange reaction - from all of them that I had to laughed. I asked them, "So Christmas tree is now weird or scary?" A friend replied,"As early as July???" If only you could see the look on their faces. I had my Christmas up last 4th of July. I know it's very early to have it on but I am excited. Just seeing our Christmas tree gives me a good feeling that this year, inspite of my struggles, will be a good year because I know in two months time we'll finally have our very own home and we don't have to rent anymore. That itself already is one big Christmas gift for me and my mom.

I am amazed at your happy disposition in life! Seeing Christmas as something to look forward to is innate in everyone. Although, others will have it just when Christmas is coming already, not like you , way far from December, yet here you are already gearing for it. Keep it up! How i wish i could already feel Christmas too.

Hi simplyd, you are also a cheerful one in your picture. I am positive that you also have your way of a happy disposition. I know it's too far away from December and I am just really excited. Christmas has its power of letting all the bad things in life gone in a snap so it does help keep me motivating in facing my day to day struggles. Take care always and I will pray that you'll also feel the Christmas spirit sometime soon.

Christmas is just a fun time. Lot of unique things come from christmas. I play christmas songs year round...especially if I am in a rut or sad....something about those holly, jolly tunes that perk me up even just enough to make it through the day! And it is so pretty. All about christmas is pretty, the ornaments, the wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, cookies, decorations, lights..oh those colorful lights! Just a time that can make you smile!

Thanks for liking my wacky picture. I guess, it really says a lot of my having a happy disposition in life. It helps me a lot to have it, as i go on the course of life.

Well, you could have told your friends that you were preparing to have a Christmas in July celebration or something like that just so they wouldn't pick on you.. Now, I will admit that I really like Christmas, it really is my favorite part of the year. However, I thought that the stores were really overdoing it last year when they had their Christmas displays up starting as early as the beginning of October, I've personally got to enjoy the fall before I start to prepare for Christmas.

Hi, dora. I wish I was able to think up a good reason that fast but I ended up telling them that I am just excited. I know there are still a lot to celebrate for before Christmas. I am just really excited and I'm looking forward celebrating it. Thanks for your response. Maybe I could use your idea next time I have visitors.

I saw a show once, that was about a woman that kept her christmas tree up all year long and just added ornaments she found at different places. It was just part of her living room and looked pretty and got lots of comments, but no one seemed to think her odd because of it!

We have had a big Christmas tree for several years now and because it is so big I now keep it up all year in the bay window in my office, I just don't have the lights turned on. It is much easier than taking it down, dragging it to the storage shed and then having to bring it back out at Christmas. But all the lights don't burn on it now so I'm going to get a new tree for Christmas this year and place this one out for the trash to pick up. I look forward to getting a new tree. The ornaments I have on our old one are ones I have collected over the years and will definitely be putting them on the new one. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year! :)

When my kids were little, I used to start shopping for stocking stuffers in July! IT was the most fun. I always got practical things, but fun things...maybe travel size of expensive things..stuff like that. Things that wouldn't go out of style in the next 6 months and that they'd still want 6 months later! It was fun tho. This is my first year in my new home and I have plenty to decorate, but not really into it cause I don't have the kid around. Just not as fun without the kids.

I forgot to say... years back with the kids...I alway did a handmade christmas. One year we made ALL the ornaments for the tree and for gifts. It was really nice. I always made gifts...as I am a crafter, but seemed no one liked cratfy handmade things, so I change to baking things. I would bake a huge tray of all kinds of goodies for the family and then get the kids a toy or something. They all loved that! But then I had to move to an apartment and those kitchens are so small.. baking is no fun...even a huge chore! But this year in my own home I have a huge kitchen and I am so excited to bake in a nice roomy kitchen!!! Just my luck, I have no one to give the baked goods to as my family has moved all over and kind of even lost contact with each other. But my kids are near and they will get cookies!!!

Well it's never to early to be in the Christmas Spirit and you definitely have a good reason to be excited. Of course that tree won't be on top of the fridge for long now will it? You'll soon be packing it away to move! Congratulations for owning your first home and may you have many happy happy Christmases in it to come!

For me it is good in your eyes but in the eyes of Jehovah God it is not good so be ware of that ocassion it is a pagan form of worship.

I can totally understand you. I have in my home a clock that plays Christmas songs every hour that struck. I love the feeling of being reminded about Christmas. Somehow, it really does makes me happy. The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of the year. That is why for me it is a totally happy feeling to have the spirit Christmas everyday of my life.
