25 April - What I'm Thankful for Today

Someone said it's Thursday today. Somewhere along the line, it didn't register as Thursday.
Good afternoon from sunny Green Bay, Wisconsin. It's currently 53 F and feels nice outside. I didn't get out though. No time today.
So, what am I thankful for today?
I'm thankful I realized the 25th and Thursday are the same day. My friend's birthday is the 25th. I went down to her apartment to invite her to Texas Roadhouse for her birthday, tomorrow. She told me her birthday was today. I looked at her and said; it is? So, okay, now I know today is the 25th, and it's Thursday. I'm glad I got that sorted out. She invited me in for cake. Her sister made it for her. Angel food. It was delicious. It had white boiled frosting. Also delicious. Yes, I've already noted the calories.
I'm thankful for the time I spent here today. I have the notifications done for the first time. It was so good to find out how you are in your corner of the world.
I'm thankful I have all my steps. I'll do the foot cycle soon.
I'm thankful for Canasta today. I didn't get that one wrong. I knew it was Thursday. It was a fun game. My table played partners. It was really close the entire game, and then my partner and I lost. Oh well. It was fun.
Okay, that's my day. A little confusing, but that's okay too. What are you thankful for today? The image belongs to me. My friend down the hall.

I knew what today was, but it was a bit different. George did pretty good today all things considered. He needs to be assigned to a doctor here in Daytona, so it's been a mess since his retired. We did a video call in the doctor's office. Hell, had I known that'd be the case, I could've stayed home. But, it worked out because I had to get cat food for Chilly. I'm thankful George was receptive to that. Hopefully next week I can get George to go to Aldi.

@just4him Yeah, me too. Life will be a lot easier once he's cleared to drive. I had hoped things would've worked out, but they didn't. If George can be more consistant with his meals we can ween him off the peg tube, until then he still needs it.

@kaylachan I'm sorry he still needs the peg tube. Maybe by the time you see the doctor again, he can clear him.
He's still improving. Don't give up hope.

Glad you got the day figured out. Thankful we had sunshine all day. Thankful to get the greenhouse fixed. Hopefully that Sh ithead cat doesn't mess it up again

That cake looks delicious and it was nice that you were able to enjoy a piece with your friend.
I was very thankful that my son put some grab bars in my shower and it was much easier showering this morning with something sturdy to hold on to.

Sometimes the time just gets away from us, perhaps. Sounds like an interesting cake, never heard of that kind of frosting. Texas Roadhouse would be awesome.

@just4him maybe but I'm not sure. Ive had sour cream icing, made with cream that you sour. I know that's not the same but was sharing a different kind of icing.
Sounds like it...Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorites.

I'm glad you had a great day all the way around.
I'm thankful we got 1/2 of the 2nd part of the cabin
covered with the vapor barrier, now for the OTHER 1/2.

to be done & he's BACK in bed again, he's talking

Well, it is Friday here today. Bob had his appointment. I shopped. We went out to eat and again, we feel much as if we should skip the eating out. Food was not great, not bad but not great. And pricey. The guy who bought the place next door is wanting to "help"us with our yard work. My weight lookd like it is going up, but that is what I get for baking.

@just4him I have a scheduled quarterly meeting at the facility on Wednesday; and we will see my husband after that! It will be 2-1/2 weeks since I've seen him!!!
