Yay! It's Friday 5:50 PM here. And I am in a very happy happy mood . It's not the weekend begins mood today. Well, I am enjoying the long summer vacation and I have already lost track of the day. Each day is like weekend as there is no morning rush. It's 3rd May and it's been twenty long years since I became mother for the first time on this day. Can't believe that my elder daughter is no more a teen. She turns 20 today. She is far away on her campus busy with her evaluation day today. We called her at 12 midnight and she had her friends in her room for a small cake cutting celebration.. and soon all of them were busy with their assignments and project deadlines. Exam times at campus . Her fourth semester comes to an end and they have exams from Monday. And then six weeks long semester break. She is going for a small trekking trip with her friends for four days before she comes back home.. Can't wait to see her. I made her favourite chicken curry and gulab jamun for lunch today. My husband and younger one wanted the same kind of celebration as we would have when she is there on her birthday..I really missed her. We will have another birthday celebration once she is home after 15 days . For myself, I made egg curry. I have made enough to have for dinner too. So, no more cooking . Today the sunny day turned dark suddenly with all dark clouds around lunchtime. Yay! We had a good rain for two hours. It's a big relief from the heat. It was much awaited rain. We had thunderstorm and lightening last evening too, but not much rain to bring down the temperature..We still have some dark clouds and another pouring can happen anytime. It would be good. So, that was all for today. Most of the day went in cooking and cleaning..Home made gulab jamuns ( a popular Indian dessert) from scratch can be tiring. My husband and younger daughter went to the showroom to get a two wheeler for my younger daughter. They have done the booking and will get the vehicle on Sunday. There is no more bus service for my younger one as she goes for college from July. She will get her license after her 18 th birthday in October. My husband wants her to practice inside the apartment complex for few months so that she is comfortable and confident to take it out on road after few months when she will be eligible for driver license. She is super excited. We wanted to get the new vehicle on some good day. And she said that there is no better day than her sister's birthday . The two sisters have a very strong bonding. The new vehicle would be a surprise for my elder daughter when she comes home. We have kept it a secret from her. That's all for now. Hope all is good in your myLot corner . Take care.
