Day 107 – Holy Leviticus 19:1 JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘You will be holy, for I JEHOVAH your Elohiym am holy. 3 ‘Every one of you will revere his mother and his father and keep My Sabbaths; I am JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 4 ‘Do not turn to idols, nor make for yourselves molded gods; I am JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 5 ‘If you offer a sacrifice of a peace offering to JEHOVAH, you will offer it of your own free will. 6 It will be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day. If any remains until the third day, it will be burned in the fire. 7 If it is eaten on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted. 8 Therefore, everyone who eats it will bear his iniquity, because he profaned the hallowed offering of JEHOVAH; and that person will be cut off from his people. 9 ‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you will not wholly reap the corners of your field, nor will you gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10 You will not glean your vineyard, nor will you gather every grape of your vineyard; you will leave them for the poor and the stranger: I am JEHOVAH your Elohiym. God’s name: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Mighty God Theos – Mighty God – Greek Yeshuwa – Jesus God’s Character: Holy Most people know what the Ten Commandments are and try to live by them. Doing so brings peace to their lives. JEHOVAH told the children of Israel they were to be holy because Elohiym was holy. He told them to set themselves apart for Him because He set Himself apart for them. He was holy and JEHOVAH wanted His people to be like Him. JEHOVAH reiterated the commandments He gave them, expanding on them, so they could be a holy nation, set apart for Him. He told them how to offer peace sacrifices and harvest their fields. When they obeyed His commandments and laws, then they would be holy as He was holy. Are you holy? Holy means to be set apart. When you set yourself apart for Elohiym’s work, when You obey Him in everything, He tells you, you are holy, and He will bless you. How will JEHOVAH bless you? Deuteronomy 11:8 “Therefore, you will keep every commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land which you cross over to possess, 9 and that you may prolong your days in the land which JEHOVAH swore to give your fathers, to them and their descendants, ‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’ 10 For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; 11 but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, 12 a land for which JEHOVAH your Elohiym cares; the eyes of JEHOVAH your Elohiym are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year. 13 It will be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love JEHOVAH your Elohiym and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. Deuteronomy 28:1 “Now it will happen, if you diligently obey the voice of JEHOVAH your Elohiym, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that JEHOVAH your Elohiym will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 “These blessings will come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: 3 “Blessed will you be in the city, and blessed will you be in the country. 4 “Blessed will be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 5 “Blessed will be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 “Blessed will you be when you come in, and blessed will you be when you go out. 7 “JEHOVAH will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they will come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8 “JEHOVAH will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which JEHOVAH your Elohiym is giving you. 9 “JEHOVAH will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you if you keep the commandments of JEHOVAH your Elohiym and walk in His ways. 10 “Then all peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of JEHOVAH, and they will be afraid of you. 11 “JEHOVAH will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which JEHOVAH swore to your fathers to give you. 12 “JEHOVAH will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. 13 “JEHOVAH will make you the head and not the tail; you will be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of JEHOVAH your Elohiym, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 “So, you will not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them. JEHOVAH’S blessings far outweigh what will happen if you don’t obey Him. Instead of blessing you, He will allow Satan to come against you to trouble you. He wants you to be holy because He is holy. He wants to bless you and make you a holy nation. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of Theos, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, JEHOVAH set you apart to Him, just as He did His chosen people. You became one of them. All the blessings He promised His people also belong to you. Therefore, He calls you to be holy just as He is holy. Obedience is your key to His blessings. Let’s pray: Father, help me to be obedient to You so I will be holy, set apart to You and receive Your many blessings. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
