Day 108 – Forgiveness Leviticus 19:11 ‘You will not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another. 12 ‘You will not swear by My name falsely, nor will you profane the name of your Elohiym; I am JEHOVAH. 13 ‘You will not cheat your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of him who you hired will not remain with you all night until morning. 14 ‘You will not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but will fear your Elohiym; I am JEHOVAH. 15 ‘You will do no injustice in judgment. You will not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you will judge your neighbor. 16 ‘You will not go about as a talebearer among your people; nor will you take a stand against the life of your neighbor; I am JEHOVAH. 17 ‘You will not hate your brother in your heart. You will surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. 18 ‘You will not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you will love your neighbor as yourself; I am JEHOVAH. 19 ‘You will keep My statutes. You will not let your livestock breed with another kind. You will not sow your field with mixed seeds. Nor will a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you. 20 ‘Whoever lies carnally with a woman betrothed to a man as a concubine, and who has not been redeemed nor given her freedom, for this there will be scourging; but they will not be put to death, because she was not free. 21 He will bring his trespass offering to JEHOVAH, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, a ram as a trespass offering. 22 The priest will make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before JEHOVAH for his sin which he committed. He will forgive the sin he committed. 23 ‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you will count their fruit as uncircumcised. Three years it will be as uncircumcised to you. It will not be eaten. 24 In the fourth year its fruit will be holy, a praise to JEHOVAH. 25 In the fifth year you may eat its fruit, that it may yield to you its increase; I am JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 26 ‘You will not eat anything with the blood, nor will you practice divination or soothsaying. 27 You will not shave around the sides of your head, nor will you disfigure the edges of your beard. 28 You will not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you; I am JEHOVAH. 29 ‘Do not prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a harlot, lest the land fall into harlotry, and the land become full of wickedness. 30 ‘You will keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am JEHOVAH. 31 ‘Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 32 ‘You will rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man and fear your Elohiym; I am JEHOVAH. 33 ‘If a stranger dwells with you in your land, you will not mistreat him. 34 The stranger who dwells among you will be to you as one born among you, and you will love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 35 ‘You will do no injustice in judgment, in measurement of length, weight, or volume. 36 You will have honest scales, honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin; I am JEHOVAH your Elohiym, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. 37 ‘Therefore, you will observe My statutes and My judgments, and perform them; I am JEHOVAH.’” God’s name: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Mighty God Yeshuwa – Jesus Hagios Pneuma – Holy Spirit, Breath Adonay – God God’s character: Sovereign Lawmaker Judge Redeemer Forgiver How often do you obey everything you’re told? As children you often heard your parents say, “Do you think I told you that to hear myself talk?” Everywhere you go there are rules and laws you need to obey. If you don’t, you face the consequences. JEHOVAH again told the children of Israel about the commandments He gave them along with the consequences for their actions if they disobeyed Him. How many of these commandments and laws have you broken? I can’t say I’m guiltless. James 2:8 If you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You will love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever will keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. Do you believe you have freedom from the commandments and law because you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord? Has Elohiym changed since He gave the law to Moses? Yeshuwa fulfilled the law by giving you forgiveness for your sins against Elohiym when you confess your sins to Him. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (NKJV) If you don’t confess your sin, there is no forgiveness. Therefore, confess your sin to Elohiym with a pure heart, and He will forgive you. When David sinned, he confessed his sin to Elohiym. Psalm 51:1 (To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.) Have mercy upon me, O Elohiym, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. 4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight—That You may be found just when You speak, and blameless when You judge. 5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. 6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. 8 Make me hear joy and gladness, that the bones You have broken may rejoice. 9 Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O Elohiym, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Hagios Pneuma from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me by Your generous Pneuma. 13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will be converted to You. 14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O Elohiym, the Elohiym of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of Your righteousness. 15 O Adonay, open my lips, and my mouth will show forth Your praise. 16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of Elohiym are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—These, O Elohiym, You will not despise. 18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then You will be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering; then they will offer bulls on Your altar. David’s prayer should be your prayer when you sin against Elohiym. His law hasn’t changed. The only thing that changed was when He sent His Son, Yeshuwa to redeem you from the law and give you the way of forgiveness through His blood. Confess your sin today and feel the law of liberty through Yeshuwa’s blood. Let’s pray: Father, forgive me when I sin against You. Let me know Your forgiveness when I come before You with a pure heart. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 5 May 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

Amen. I have asked for forgiveness over and over again; but I still worry that I'm not forgiven. Have a blessed week.

My father used to tell me that tattoos were forbidden by God, and I see that it is mentioned in those commandments there too. Yes, God's laws never change, and remain as given by him, for us too. We should all think long and hard before we do anything, like getting tattoos, or piercing our body in any way too. We must realise that God forbids us from doing this, even to this day.
