Nico sat on my lap for hours yesterday

It was a bit in the cool side yesterday, and after I finished running around earlier in the day..I spent lots of time in my favorite chair with the kitty in my lap. We were both content. I got up periodically and so did he, but he spent hours on my lap. Sadly, that never really happens in warm weather Do your pets love lap time?

He is back on my lap now that I am sitting quietly. He doesn't like it when I am moving around too much.

Not really...It was fine. However, he did force me to stay seated ideally longer than I would have wanted to be.

@snowy22315 when i used to pick up my cat, she didn't like it and was landing immediately but sitting, as your did, they have their own high standards, not thinking of us, humans at all

Kitty likes it alot when I am not on my computer When I had a cat and a dog they would both listen for when I put down the computer down and then come over

@snowy22315 My cat Gevi was hit by a car when a was a kitten (and not yet MY cat).
He had surgery, but he is not very good jumping, I think this is why he does not even try to jump on my lap.

@LadyDuck Nico is a cautious jumper. He does not like high heights like some cats. He is not one to walk around on countertops either like some cats do.

@snowy22315 he brought her home when she was a kitten and I guess they bonded strongly. She really mourned him during the times he’s lived away from us. He wasn’t able to take her. She is 18 this month.

When we had the two Pomeranians one of them always loved to sleep on my lap. I miss them. Have a good week.

First thing when I get up Petey lays in my lap for love time, and sometimes later in the day. Freya, the Siamese, jumps up and snuggles when Petey vacates and she helps with whatever I am working on, then she will get down and play with her pipe cleaners that I put in a short produce box (it's about 9 inches tall and just the best size for pretending that there are mousies in it.

@snowy22315 Get him a couple of the fuzzy hobby type pipe cleaners, not the ones that are made for cleaning actual pipes. Freya found one of the really fuzzy hobby type pipe cleaners on the floor and she latched on to it and played with it like crazy, and carry them in her mouth through the apartment. It's a riot to watch.

No pets here so cannot comment much. Yet I believe warmer weather would make the Pets run away from one's lap !

I always like it when he does it. The other day it was quite hot, but he surprised me by jumping up and giving me a kitty hug. I think he was quite happy I was only gone for half an hour instead of disappearing for half a day as I frequently do.
