I have been seeing videos in FB Reels of music back in the 60's, 70's etc. Got me to remembering songs I listened to and the memories they bring back.
The one that came to mind was Behind Blue Eyes..The Who...reminded me of cruising through Delphis, OH on a Fri or Sat. Night. The there was Whiter Shade of Pale. The first time I ever danced in a Club. So what songs bring back memories for You?

@thebos I have changed Genres throughout my life. But the one I go back to is Old Rock n Roll. I love music of all kinds, even listen to a Christian Rap station. LOL Lately I have been listening to Tom McDonald and Adam Calhoun. I took Piano lessons from age 6 until High School. I quit because the last teacher I had wouldn't allow any Rock n Roll...only the Classics. I love Classical music, but can only take so much. Love Country Music, but not the NEW stuff...I want to hear a story, not shake my booty and get drunk...which is the New Stuff is all about. Even Rap music has a story...well, atleast Tom McDonald and especially Adam Calhoun. What do you like?

I really love the music genre back in the day. The lyrics were quite meaningful compared to some of the music today.
September by Earth, Wind and Fire reminds me of the time that I dance and sing a lot with my nephew when he was still 3 to 4 years old.

When my kids were little, I would turn on Puttin' On The Ritz and dance as I cleaned the house. When my youngest daughter grew up, she sent me a stuffed Turtle with a Top Hat that plays Puttin On The Ritz. She told me she remembered watching me dance around the house to that song. Still have the Turtle, and press his foot now and then. LOL

When I listen to oldies, I Chair Dance since I can't do a whole song on my feet. LOL. Old songs let me leave this world to an old world where I can do all the things I can't do now and for a few minutes I don't hurt and I don't worry about things. When the song or songs are over, I just get up and so something I didn't want to do BEFORE I played the song. Most of the time I listen to oldies when I drive to go shopping or go to an appt.

The song "If I Fell" sung by the Beatles brings back memories.

I was in the 4th Grade when that came out...I had a music book with Beatle songs and learned to play them on a piano. Haven't played the piano in 58 years.

I made a CD just to play in my taxi...lots of fast songs except Big Log by Robert Plant. Flirtin' With Disaster was one I really liked but found one by Charlie Daniels..The Intimidator about Dale Earnhardt and Jr. And Uneasy Rider. Baker Street and You Belong To The City. Love driving my Crown Vic Police Interceptor driving to pick up a trip. I owned my Taxi and leased it through the taxi company. Gave them 35% of my fares and they paid the insurance and gave me trips. But I found a few Good Trips on my own! LOL

My husband was born in 1960, and I can't say I've heard of those. But, I'd say the classics we grew up with do. Although I couldn't think one off the top of my head.

The songs I listed weren't real popular even back then, but they are special to me.

Anything from the 60s or 70s makes me nostalgic. I wish I could go back! Have a good day.
