An Amusing Medical Story

My mom shared a story once. It was a story related to my birth. My mom had myoma while she was pregnant with me. She didn't actually know that she had myoma during pregnancy. The hospitals at our City, at that time, didn't have much equipment to be able to check on those things. So, during her entire pregnancy journey with me, she thought she was going to have twins because her tummy was just too big. By the time she was about to give birth, it was found out that the tumor of her myoma was blocking my way out. So, they did a C-Section instead. When they opened her belly, they saw me in an upright position. I was sitting on top of the tumor and my head was stuck between her ribs. When she told me that, I laughed and told her that her tummy became my kingdom. The tumor was my throne and her ribs were my crown. She laughed and said that she never ever thought of it that way, and then commented that truly a mother's womb is a baby's kingdom as the baby is well-fed and -protected inside the mother's belly. What about you guys? Do you have an amusing story too?

Wow, that is amazing that there were no complications (other than c-section) with you or your mom during delivery!

It is amazing. I was, however, mostly sorry for my mother because my head got stuck between her ribs. She told me she always wondered my she was having difficulty in breathing during her pregnancy with me. When she found out that my head was stuck between her ribs, she was relieved that it was not some kind of illness.

I had several friends before who had a situation where babies and fibroids coexisted. Although pregnancy increases the risk for pregnant women, they are now very healthy.

I'm quite happy to know that they are all healthy. Even with the existence of an illness they chose to have become a loving mother to their child. They really are strong. I really do admire how they are able to face such challenges in life.

I never heard of something like that. Thank God you and your mom were both OK.

Thank God, indeed. Both of us were okay during and after the C-Section. My mother though had to have her uterus removed after because her myoma keeps on coming back.

My sister had myoma n cyst as well. She delivered baby seven month ago. The obgyn recommended her for C-section in November. But she delivered baby normally in October and her C-cancelled automatically. The baby refused for the surgery. Lol

How I wish the baby me also refused C-section, but I was probably busy being a queen in my mother's womb. After delivering me through a C-Section, my mother then decided to have her uterus removed because the myoma keeps on growing back.
