Why I chose a steel tea cup

China tea cups are in vogue and you might see them even the poorest of homes. They can be bought from crockery shops and from the fairs that stay in a place for a few days on occasions like Christmas and Diwali or any other festivals. They come for about Rs 20 to 25 a piece. The bigger ones can cost about Rs 50. I need a medium sized cup for my more tea. I always looked for a cup of my preference. I bought whenever I found one to my taste. But, as the saying goes, breakable articles would break some time or other. All my favourite china cups dropped on the concrete floor some time and I had drink my tea and coffee in cups " not dear to me" for quite a few months. In my desparation I decided to choose unbreakable cups. The smaller cup in the picture is my tea cup. This one and five of the same kind I bought from a mobile vendor last Christmastide, who had his wares displayed on a tricycle van. Each of these can contain about 160 ml liquid. The bigger one cannot be called a cup. In the local dialect it's called a mug. I use it to drink water. It can hold about 500ml and it's very practical is summer days. Someone once said there's joy in using your favourite cups, plates and other crockeries. Do you agree?

I had steel tea cups but I use the porcelain ones and they break sometimes which I don't mind.

Advantages of having this steel mug is that it doesn't break however the handle may get detached later, again it depend on how we use.

I have used ceramic cups all the time, most of ppl used ceramic cups. The iron cups could be rusty after some time.another aspect is the iron cups could burn your hands, but ceramic cups can separate heat from your hands. the third aspect is ceramic cups is cheaper.Overall, ceramic is my favourite.howerer i respect everyone's perference,You are right that the ceramic is easy to break.

I do agree with that statement. There's something about them that lights up your day. I love especially those that have written messages on. I find them comforting.

Yes there is joy in using your favorite cup, plate or glass. Especially if someone special gives it to you.

Yes, I agree with this statement. Currently, the most commonly used ones are the three cups in the picture
