Getting rejection emails on Friday. Lovely, isn't it?

Not sure do you like this or also getting a rejection email the day when you applied for a job position. As for Fridays, higher ups or secreatry people like to escape early from work and they send the email, while your weekend is just starting. And no, they won't respond on any inquiry then cause they are already gone. Making someone else's life miserable while they are taking their time off and planning where to go for a weekend isn't moral. Not only that, they say thank you. How many fake thank yous are they going to invent? Be human, for change.

Well, still they are professional enough to mail this info.....a majority of the company doesn't even bother to inform about the status of our application, as if that's not their headache...

This was my second rejection from them in 2weeks and exact words were used so not sure about their professionalism... both jobs positions were different. It makes me more mad that I sent them open applications and then this. If they really needed someone to jump in, they could have contacted me, at least for an interview. Many better jobs here are fixed so not sure if it was all fair from beginning but I won't contact them anymore.another one on my blacklist, sadly.

@Rimps85 I agree with you. Many companies really don't provide rejection notices, which is far more worse than getting rejected without notification.

You know one thing that is confusing there are supposedly so many jobs around, but what good does it do if they aren't going to hire people for them? Of course I have been rejected for jobs I have wanted in recent years, but when my nephew was looking..it took him quite some time to find a job in the city his fiancee was in. Months, and the company that hired him gave him 4 interviews..Can you imagine if he had been rejected after that time? He would have been really discouraged.

It is nice being young and having a fiance. I am glad he made it. I think I was in 2rounds and didn't make it up to third or I had to solve online tests. Crazy what companies do.

I am very sorry, this world is becoming disgusting, they use the email system because it's so easy to "hide" behind a computer.

Thank you and indeed. They had my phone number and me, being, foolish, was waiting for a call. This was my 2nd rejection from them in 2weeks,2 different job positions. Like I wouldn't notice copy paste sentences. Also, I sent them open applications before and this was cruel. I will never contact them again. Also, if they fixed a job for someone else, I curse on them.

Slipping out quickly to start their weekend early! First, leaving a rejection e-mail, then they run away before you can view it. That's manipulation, it's meant to stir up trouble inside of YOU! How to handle this? Ignore it! Then, when they meant to cause upset, it didn't work! lol

@greenery8 I'm very sorry to know this. When I had replied for a job in a company;I was invited for interview and then cleared it.I know how disappointing it is to be rejected.I did not want to have a job;but I had no option.I didn't have money.I wanted to be self employed. Now I have resigned from the job and am the boss of my own.Why don't you try to have some other business?? Do you have any problem??

Many people are so fake. Companies usually don't say anything. I apply and I don't receive any answer.

@dya80dya I experienced quite a lot of that. I even get surprised by some of them when they suddenly replied after months have passed.

Before e-mailing became the thing to do employers would either respond with a rejection letter or maybe even call you to let you know the position was filled and they hired another candidate. Now, job rejections are much impersonal because of e-mails, but it is more efficient for the employee who may need to respond to multiple candidates. Sadly, that's just the way it is now. The thank you goes without saying whether they are sincere or not. It's the correct thing to do.

@grenery8 Perhaps that's true as it is impersonal. At least they contacted you with a response. I've had some rejections where they never responded at all, and it leaves you wondering what happened. My reasoning and you definitely have a good point about responding with an e-mail being fake is if there are a lot of candidates for the position, a form letter or e-mail is more efficient for them and less time consuming. Although being on the end of these responses, I agree, appears disingenuous to the one receiving them.

I'm very sorry on what you're going through right now, but I do understand how you feel. I've been rejected three times already. Hopefully, the one job that I applied for in which I was able to undergo a final interview, finally hires me as one of their own. We'll get through this, buddy. Let us not lose hope.
