We got a situation.

At least I got one.
Every time I decide to cook a little something, I discover that it is harder than what I had expected. I made a delicious pasta dish for lunch, but I boiled too much pasta. I mixed the sauce (Mushroom and chicken breast) on top of it but for dinner I didn´t want to eat it again. And I did not want yet another dish of leftovers. I already have one serving left of the mussels risotto and I will not give it to Luna. She might not like it.
I boiled some milk and added some polenta and sugar. I don´t know the name of the dish in English. And then I poured some pancake syrup on top.
This was my dinner and I´m happy with it.
Now I´m in bed and will try not to feel too guilty about it. It is too cold to be around. The garments I washed yesterday are not dry yet and my darned socks are soaking so I left them at the terrace. As I darned them, I thought that maybe they have some alpaca wool near Dixie. There is there a huge place where they sell all sorts of things for handy work. And as I have to start with one sock first, if I don´t reach the second I can use it in one foot.
There are all sort of stories about knitting in my family When my mom was pregnant with my, my favorite aunt was living with them. She started a sweater for me but got bored before she reached the arms. My mom insisted that she finished her work and my aunt Ilse (then 20 or 21) told her that the baby might be born without arms. She was the aunt that was sent to name me and she christened me with 4 names. She acquired some common sense later in life. She´s is the only aunt I now have left (she is 102 now). And she doesn´t knit.
I am now going to read. See you later. I came to bed to thaw a bit.

When I cook too much pasta I save it. I can warm up for a snack. I just add butter and some salt or other herbs and it is filling and tasty.
Are you sure that your Aunt llse is 202? She must be very fragile.

@HaruLoid Pasta can be eaten with almost anything. When I have some left, I usually make an omelette with the rest.

It is not uncommon for me to cook too much for Bob and I. It comes in handy though when I am not wanting to cook.

SSometimes I save it and freeze it. Other times I forget it and Luna has it if it is too old. But today I could share it with Anita. That is a much better idea as I don´t like to freeze again seafood.

Clothes are dry now. But I have had to put them inside at night so they dry at the warmer temperature of the house.

Polenta is basically corn meal. One of my grandmother's always made corn meal mush for us when I was little. Cooked cornmeal, either eat it in a bowl with milk or maple syrup, or chill the cooked cornmeal in a loaf pan overnight, then cut it in portions and fry it in a skillet, serve with maple syrup. Either way, it's an old fashion dish that is delicious. My kids love it still, I make it sometimes in the winter.

@MarieCoyle I love polenta as I use whole milk and lots of butter and Parmesan cheese.

I boiled milk with sugar, added the polenta and let it set in bowls. I ate one dish yesterday with maple syrup. Today I´ll go and get another but I´ll add less syrup than yesterday. I was reading about making the same thing (but salted). I just call it polenta but you call it "grits".

Here in the US, grits are mostly a dish served in the south, often with breakfast. I love grains and beans, but grits are just...ok. Not much flavor to them.

I don´t think that she meant to be cruel. She is and adorable lady. But then, I suppose she was just too young.
