Just outside our bathroom window grows a tangelo tree. Look who built a nest on a straggly branch !
From this bathroom window, we can see this little hummingbird mama and her nest. We have a front row seat view (literally front row seat if you know what I mean ).
The bottom half of the bathroom window is frosted, so she does get privacy. We keep it cracked open to take peeks, and she doesn't seem bothered by us. I wish we could see inside the nest, perhaps we'll have to wait!
Has Spring brought you any surprises ?

How neat, it is hard to get a still like that. Their wings beat so fast. No spring surprises yet!

How did I miss this ..... oh wait, I know how, I'm not on that often anymore so I don't always see what you've posted.
I haven't seen any hummers yet or rather I haven't heard any, they're so fast I rarely see them. It would be so kool to see something like this. Ok ok, I'z jealous

That is so cool to be able to see her! I know you'll enjoy watching from your "front row seat."

A few years ago, we had a hummingbird build her nest in a big Rose Of Sharon bush by our front porch. I figured it would never stay, with the ins and outs of the door being opened and closed, but it did. So very fascinating to watch! Enjoy your ''throne'' moments!

We saw 2 little ones. They were there one day next to mama, and then they both flew off with her. There must have been just two eggs? We never knew for sure. The nest was so, so tiny!
