Social battery exhausted...

That's what my elder daughter would say after every social events and gathering . She is very pleasant and friendly but prefers a low key social event and a huge social gathering or too much of happening parties make her exhausted. And I am feeling the same right now . As you all know that I returned after a month long vacation on 27th April. I had a tight schedule with family get togethers, wedding, birthday parties all lined up in a row. I thoroughly enjoyed them. But once back home, I wanted to go slow, relax and stay indoors cleaning and arranging the house.. But then we had another function to attend and it became like a mini get away. My husband's school friend who is settled in Singapore threw a lavish party for his 25th wedding anniversary on 30th April. He came back to India for the celebration and chose Bengaluru as the destination for that. They had booked the entire resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru for two days. So, we started around 6 in the evening on Tuesday after my husband's office work got over. It was a long two and half hours drive. We reached there at 8:30 for their cake cutting, dinner and dance. With all this fun going till 1 AM, we were too tired and crashed in to our rooms in the night. We had a nice breakfast buffet in the morning and then we had good fun with the pool party and so many funny games . We started back from there around 12 afternoon, stopped on the way in a restaurant to have lunch and reached home around 3 in the afternoon. I kept catching up with the sleep and few chores for the rest of the evening.. I was too exhausted to come online. Good that it was Labour Day and a holiday. Husband could stay back in the night and catch up with some of his old school friends . I hope that you all had a good holiday( if you got one for International Labour Day on May 1st). Now, my social battery is totally exhausted . Even for a social person like me, too much of social events lined up in a month can be overwhelming. I don't want to socialize for a while . It's another hot day here. Clouds with rain have totally forgotten us. We badly need rain and respite from this heat. Take care. Hope that all is well with you in your myLot corner.

@arunima25 All of those celebrations sounded so fun and delightful but yes, I really do understand the feeling. Even one of those celebrations would wear me out. I'm glad you had a great time out but now glad you're back home to recharge.

@arunima25 aw good. Do you mean you are going to therapy for help or you mean for work? Either way, hope it all goes well for you.

Yes, too much of fun also can be exhausting and overwhelming. I am happy to be home and life is slowly getting back to normal. And today I started with my therapy sessions in the afternoon after more than a month of break.

I'm glad you enjoyed the party. I agree with you. I need to relax after a huge social event. Thankfully, they don't happen very often.

Summer vacations time gets too tight with social gatherings. Most weddings, anniversaries and birthdays fall in March, April and May in my family and friends. I have enough social gatherings and events throughout the year, but thankfully they are not in a row. I get enough breathing space in between.

Hey! Happy to see you after so long. You were missed. I was also not much in online space as I got busy with travel, vacation and a long list of social events.

@allknowing Oh! I could not be active on Discussion hub. I was too busy. Thought of giving it a try later but now there is no point. Discussion Bucks is doing great. I will try to be more active on Index forum and Forum Coin.

As much fun as it all sounds I can understand that you are exhausted. I tend to get exhausted too if I have too many social events close together. Hope you're able to recharge your battery

@Marilynda1225 I have few commitments in May, but they are short ones. My elder daughter is coming home in Mid May for her semester break and I plan to spend some good time with her.

It's fun. But so many of them in a row can be overwhelming. I am glad that I don't have any other social events coming for few months. I get enough time to recharge myself

Two days makes no sense for wedding anniversary. But then people have extra money to spend. The next day pool party was better as there were less people left. Most left after dinner party the previous night.

Totally understandable and I can relate to it . I too start feeling home sick after a week. And then after few months of regular routine life, I long for a break

That was quite an outing. The drive alone would have exhausted me. Hope you have a good day.
