I´m exhausted: I just cooked a mussel risotto.

There are so many little things to dice and add and such a long time to stir if you want a good risotto.
I stood for ages in front of the counter and then in front of the stove. Now I´m waiting for it to either cook or burn while my legs rest. I will accept whatever happens. It is simmering in the minimum but this new stove has its burners too high.
I brought to my night table a bit of the last of my apricot brandy. If I were alone I´d get drunk and take a nap.
Last night I had insomnia (not usual for me) and now I´m very sleepy.
I´ll get up now. I´ll check if the rice is as it should and if it is I´ll tell Mario´s son to wash his hand and set the table. I did my part of the job.
See you later, dear friends.

@LadyDuck I have never had any problem. That is, I do have a small problem once in a while. But i catch up the next day. I don´t even have jet lag when I travel.

@marguicha You are lucky, according to my Mom I had problems sleeping since the day I came to this world.

I have to agree that cooking risotto is constant stirring, and very time consuming. I'm sure they appreciated your good food and your cooking!
