Day 113 – Light of the World Leviticus 24:1 Then JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the children of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually. 3 Outside the veil of the Testimony, in the tabernacle of meeting, Aaron will always oversee it from evening until morning before JEHOVAH; it will be a statute forever in your generations. 4 He will always oversee the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before JEHOVAH. 5 “You will take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it. Put two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour in each cake. 6 You will set them in two rows, six in a row, on the pure gold table before JEHOVAH. 7 You will put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, an offering made by fire to JEHOVAH. 8 Every Sabbath he will set it in order before JEHOVAH, taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant. 9 Aaron and his sons will eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from the offerings of JEHOVAH made by fire, by a perpetual statute.” God’s names: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Mighty God Yeshuwa – Jesus Iesous – Jesus – Greek Lord – Supreme Authority God’s character: Judge Lawgiver Mashiyach - Messiah People need light to see and food to eat. They don’t want to live in darkness, nor do they want to go hungry. JEHOVAH told Moses to keep the lamps burning in the tabernacle. Then people would know He was with them. He also told Moses to keep the bread on the golden table as Aaron’s and his sons’ food. When you accepted Yeshuwa as Mashiyach and Lord, His light shined in you. When people see you, they see His light in you. Isaiah the prophet told how the Mashiyach would be a light to the world. Isaiah 9:1 Nevertheless, the gloom will not be upon her who is distressed, as when at first, He lightly esteemed the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward more heavily oppressed her, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, in Galilee of the Gentiles. 2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined. In Matthew’s gospel, he recorded Isaiah’s prophecy as proof that Iesous was their Mashiyach. Matthew 4:12 Now when Iesous heard that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee. 13 Leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, 14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: 15 “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; 16 the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Iesous told the Pharisees He was the Light of the world and the Bread of heaven. John 8:12 Then Iesous spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” Iesous also told the people He was the bread of heaven. John 6:35 And Iesous said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.” When you spend time in Elohiym’s Word, you eat the bread of life. When you spend time with Yeshuwa, people will see His light in you. He will always be with you. Just as the light burned in the tabernacle for everyone to see, so too, His light shines in you for the world to see. During the Last Supper, Iesous told the disciples the bread represented His body, broken for them. They were to eat the bread so they would have life in themselves. Matthew 26:26 As they were eating, Iesous took bread, blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” When you take part in communion, you eat the bread, representing the broken body of Iesous. His broken body heals your sicknesses and diseases. It gives you strength to boldly proclaim Iesous as Mashiyach and Lord. Go into the world as His light. Eat His bread daily, and you will know JEHOVAH’S blessings in your life. Let’s pray: Father, let me eat the bread of Your Word daily, knowing that Your Son, is the bread of the world. Let Your light shine in me so the world will know You live in me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 10 May 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

It is interesting that olive oil was the oil God instructed them to use. Perhaps, we should be using olive oil too, to power our cars, as it must be a good oil, and could find many more uses today. God always told them the best way of doing things. God provides light to our lives.

Somehow, I don't think it would work in cars. I could be wrong though. Yes, olive oil was the best oil to use in the lamps. Yes, He did. Have a blessed day.

@just4him Yes, it might be too thick an oil to use in cars, ,and clug things up in the engine.
