Above is the finished drawing of the falcon that I started at art class last week. I completed this over Monday and Tuesday. I went over the head and back with a 6B pencil, then used the cotton disc that I was given at art class to blend it in. I also went over the eye, the circle of the nose and the beak. I added lighter shading on the beak going up. Then I added some fine detail to the beak and around the eye. I also darkened the areas on the right. I got out my putty rubber and removed some lighter areas down the back of the head and a little bit at the top. Then I added some more finer details to the area down the bottom. I outlined his markings lower down and added some feather detail before rubbing out the grid guidelines. Then I filled in the markings with the 6B pencil. I added some lighter shading to his front and blended it in. Then I lightened any areas that were too dark with the putty rubber. I darkened any areas that were too light aswell. Then I went over some of the feather details to make them stand out more. Then I adjusted anything that needed adjusting, lightening some areas and darkening others. Lastly I rubbed out any smudges that shouldn't have been there, especially around the outside of the bird. Then I called it finished. I wiped my hands, which were covered in graphite, on a wet wipe. They are great at getting pencil or paint off your hands. Some of the drawing was done on the Monday and some on the Tuesday. I made some YouTube videos about it, as I always do, and then I signed it and put it back in my folder. Tomorrow is art class day again. I hope my taxi turns up to take me home this time! How are you all doing? Have a nice day.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you think so. There are a few different pencils. The main ones are graphite but they come in a range from soft to hard. The most popular one that is used most often is HB. Then you have H and B. Then on the one side you have 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B - I think it can even go up to 8B which would make a very dark mark. Then at the other end you have your 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H and 6H. I think I've even got an F but I don't know what kind of mark that makes! Then there are graphite sticks that don't have the wooden casing round, and charcoal sticks. These usually make thicker lines than normal graphite pencils. Ofcause then you have your coloured pencils and watercolour pencils.
