Hey, you're under 200..way to go! I think I am gonna try something you wrote about..Fiber One..generally the more lean protein and veggies the better..I love cereal though..so having something with Fiber in it sounds like a good choice!

It is but watch the sugar. Fiber One has 9 grams of sugar.

I've been holding between 230 and 232. I know that's not great, but I also haven't gained the weight back I'd lost during George's hospitalization.

It looks like you are on the right track. I do not have a digital scale that works right now, but at school I can access an old fashioned doctor's balance scale. According to the floor scale at home, I had gained 17 lbs. since my Dr. appointment in December. That was last weekend. On the balance scale at school I was 200 lbs, even. I weighed on Thursday. That is ten pounds less. than the floor scale at home. I believe the balance scale to be more accurate. That means I am only up seven pounds since December. I have cleared out all the sweet pastry type foods, and banana bread and pumpkin bread. I eat Nutrigrain bars with my lunch for a sweet treat, but the bread I use regularly for any toast or sandwich has 4 grams of fiber per slice. That and eating more vegetables seems to be the best for me.

It's good to know what's best for you. Not every diet works for everybody. You know your body best. I'm glad the doctor's balance scale at school is accurate and shows a loss instead of the gain your scale showed at home. Yes, I'm on track and continuing to lose.

Thank you. I'm so glad I got rid of the food app and found out what the numbers are supposed to be for each of the macros. Especially the sugar. Just knowing I'm eating healthy isn't enough. I need to know how much of what is healthy I can have. I don't throw food away, but as soon as the cereal is gone, I won't be buying anymore. The amount of sugar in breakfast alone accounts for most of the sugar allowance. I'm also finishing the milk and going back to alternative unsweetened oat milk. Milk has a lot of sugar in it I didn't realize.

@just4him What will you do, to consume enough calcium each day? I use Viactive, to make sure I get 100% of my calcium each day.

@kobesbuddy I take a calcium supplement. So, I don't worry about it. When they do the labs, it's always good, even though I don't have the required numbers. Alternative milk usually has more calcium than regular milk. I just checked the oat milk, and it has 350 mg of calcium, the same as regular milk and no sugar.

You are doing fantastic. Go, you! Since just over a month ago I have lost about 8 pounds. My scale is wonky. My clothes are looser so something is happening. I eat a Dove piece of chocolate or two every day. I am trying to be more on target on going to the pool twice a week- got my goal this week. I also went to the Farmers Market today after the pool. I had to walk a short block to get into the market then walked the small market. Awful that I wondered if I could walk that much but I did it.

I'm glad you're losing. Time for a new scale. Once I get rid of all the unnecessary sugar, I can eat one piece of DC Dove again. Right now, it has too much sugar for me to tempt it. Though the bag is sitting right next to my chair. You're doing well with the pool and walking.

@sallypup Cheese is necessary for calcium. I don't get enough calcium, but I take calcium to make up for it. I can eat all the cheese I want. Well, as long as I don't overdo it with sodium.
