Last month my brother turned 50. His wife had a birthday party for him and we all spent a lovely afternoon at his home. All of my siblings seldom get together these days. There seems to always be someone missing, so this was a really wonderful gathering. I hope we can all get together again soon. Do you get together with your siblings often ?

I cut ties with my family years ago. I tried to go to my niece's weding, but that didn't go well. since then we just fell out of touch.

That’s so cool! Well, I’ve been seeing my sister more often lately, but it’s not because she misses me. I had things she wanted, so she made a couple trips to get them. She’s been nicer to me lately, but unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll ever be like you and your siblings. Or, my dad and his siblings.

I have one "full" sister and my father had about 8 other children. However most of them are in other states. About 2 years ago it turned out I was going to have to move with my daughter to another town. My sister lives north of me about 30 minutes away and one of my half sister's lives about 45 minutes south of me now. They both said that will be great for me to live here that way they could come visit me because I would be closer! Has either of them come to visit? NO!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like it was a wonderful birthday get together for your brother and all the sibs! Things haven't been the same with my younger sister since my father passed away almost a couple years ago. She is sort of protesting this year and has stayed away from all of us - not even a call to my mom. So nope, no get togethers with my sib.
