AHHHH, The joys of a *@#$%*@** doctor!!!

I've been trying since Tuesday to get my pain meds refilled. I was supposed to get them filled a week ago today, but my doctor "Called Out" and I had to be rescheduled. Which, if I remember right I explained right, I got rescheduled three times and ended up with a Nurse who couldn't prescribe squat. Then Tuesday when I called about the medication to my normal doctor's office they told me that if I could get to his office in 30 minutes I could get in to see him. I told them I had an apartment inspection that I had to be here for and couldn't get to the bus in less than 5 minutes as it was. I called Wednesday, Thursday and Today about the medication. It hadn't been called in. I explained to them that I had fallen on the wet bathroom floor, again, and hurt like crazy and needed to get it under control. The gal was really nice and said she would get the message to my doctor immediately and then she asked if I went to the ER. I asked her WHY??? She stated to check to see if anything was broken. I laughed and stated the last time the ER doctor told me nothing was broken and if it hurt to put ice on it, so why waste the trip? Besides, if he or she prescribed pain meds then my Primary Doctor would get upset. She mumbled in agreement. So, here I sit, again, waiting to see if I rate any pain meds. As I told the receptionist today I am out and have been for a couple of days...it would be nice to feel somewhat human again. Tylenol and or Aspirin don't help a bit. Sigh. Used to be that you could at least get something from your doctor to help you be comfortable while you're miserable. OH!!!! Then when I'm on the phone to the doctor's office, Freya decided to chew on the zip lock bags that holds the teddy bear parts that are waiting for sewing together. It wouldn't be so bad except that I'm not too sure that she is spitting out the bits of plastic from the bags. So, if her poop slides out fast and looks funny I know she's been swallowing the stuff!!!! I guess while I am waiting I will have to order the back up stuff. I sure don't want to spend the weekend suffering from the neck, back and shoulder pain along with the wrist and ankle pain. It's either pain meds, back up stuff, or playing on the freeway. (No, I won't do that...it's too easy!)
