Have you done any daring stunt in your life?

I have been biking for several years now but seldom do I go up the mountains for it. This morning I did just that and one thing that I did that I never thought I could do was go downhill on a bike at almost 40 kms per hour. This may not sound much for those avid fans of downhill mountain biking but for someone like me, it was scary and thrilling at the same time. What is the sport you currently engage in and does it give opportunities to do stunts? How daring do you think you could be while doing your sports?

I am not a really daring person, not even that sportsminded, but I did do something that I never thought I would do in a million years. My husband and I were at a picnic, and one of his friends brought along his equipment from work, he cuts and trims trees for a living. He set the cables and harnesses up so that people could repell downhill, and I did it. Screaming my head off the whole way down the side of the mountain, then when I got to the bottom, all the men were laughing at me and made me dangle there with me screaming to get me down. They finally did after they all had a good laugh. I don't know why I did that since I am terrified of heights, but at least I can say I did.

Congratulations on conquering your fear. As for myself, one thing that I would need to conquer is my fear of heights. When we were up there in the summit, my companions were laughing at me because I couldn't bring myself to go near the edge and look down to where we came from.

I really struggle with that too, I get queasy and dizzy when I am up high and will not go near edges. People laugh because they don't know what it's like.

now, you have been through an experience of a lifetime. you will treasure that moment in your life and you will never forget it. you have a story to tell to your friends, your neighbors, your love ones, your children and the forthcoming grandchildren. and you will be relating it with so much thrill in your voice. that's how it is. we consider these experiences as an achievement in our lives.

Hi, well for me I have not actually done that much of any daring stunts but I did go across our Sydney harbour bridge on the back of a bike when I was in my 20's as you hardly ever see any girl or woman riding on the back of any bike going over there it was a wonderful thrill though for me. I used to play a lot of sports but they were no daring stunts involved in them.

This reminds me of a female cousin who used to ride a motorcycle perhaps about twenty years ago, when only a few women rode motorcycles. I think she was the first one to do so in her town.

awk! i am a coward when it comes to driving. i know how to run a bike, operate a motorcycle or to drive a car. i have learned them during my younger years. but, i have always been cowardly when it comes to these things. i have been suffering from some eye difficulty and i am always afraid that i can run over somebody and cause a fatal accident. good for you to have done that stunt. i know how much and what you must have felt by then. kudos!

Yes, I think this would be one story I'll be repeating often. I pray that your eye gets better soon.

Hi Piropos! My most daring stunt so far, was to rappel from one of our church's tower.~lol I was so scared. Climbing up wasn't a problem at all. The problem came when I had to let my two hands free, because I think it's required for a while, for you to feel secure and that you won't fall even if you got nothing to hold on. And then, eventually, I had to hop down. It was great. When my fear was gone. I wanted to do it again.~lol (^^,)
