Tips for moving

My family and I are moving from Delaware to North Carolina in about two weeks. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips that they find useful for moving! We have a one year old daughter, so that's gonna be tough in itself! But we're using the 'rule' I've heard so much about, where you pack their room last, and unpack their room first! Any other tips?

I have moved many times over the years and here are my tips. Take a picture of the items that are going into the box, so you place the box into the correct room when you arrive at your new home. Pack the most important items into the same box. You need to be able to find the checkbooks, bills, shot records and other important items. This was the big one for me. Try not to be stressed, as your child can tell when your having a hard time. We would make her life as normal as we could by keeping her on a schedule. Make sure you have plenty of boxes, so your not trying to get more of them at the last minute. I use small boxes for the dishes. Wrap the dishes in newspaper to keep them from breaking.

Be sure and tape the picture on the box. Sorry left out that note. Good luck with your move.
