Simon was not a Christian, he was travelling along the road and the soldiers force him to carry the Cross. They are afraid the Jesus will not make it to Golgotha. to crucifixion. Jesus is exhausted and seems his breath is so short and might faint and die on the way. His truimph is on the cross and not in carrying it. What strenght is left? Simon was converted and his family? Whoever comes across Jesus will surely find light. Lord, let me see the light and be converted. I too was blind and in darkness. I should seek to know you more and your ways. Help me turn away from my sinful ways from my wickedness. Daily help me make an honest examination of conscience. Resolve to be more loving and kind. Daily I struggle to be more prayerful, to be more open hearted to help. Like Simon, I should be willing to carry the cross of others, not only my own. Help me to share my faith with others. If I live a holy life my other say that I have loved you and say truely She is a follower of Christ.
