I currently have 9 friends listed in my profile, but sadly most of those do not appear to be interested in my discussions.
Having more friends can be useful but I would think that over 200 is not really practical. I visit each of my friends' profiles each day to check what they have posted and respond to appropriate subjects, so it would be difficult for me to continue to do so with too many of them.
Personally, I think that 20 would be an ideal number and if they responded equally we would all benefit.

i have about 53 friends in my list. wow! 231 is a lot, i wish i could have that much, it would prove to be easier for me to post on discussions too, as i prefer to answer discussions from my friends list.

i dont have many friends on mylot i think its because mostly everyone on here is from USA iam from Engalnd in London so none of my friends are on here there all mainly on myspace

I honestly don't remember how many friends I have lol. But it is easier to find questions to respond to, sometimes there are better questions than "what's your favorite color."
I also go through and respond to questions that have no responses whether they are friends or not.

I have 12 friends. And, I am searching for more and getting more!! But, I don't think that I would have over 200 friends. Because they wouldn't really be my friends! Sorry, but I think that is true! :)

I used to think like that about 100 friends. But now having over a 100 friends, I have realized that I do know many of them! I learn who they are through their postings and through private messages.
I will reserve my thoughts for 200 if and when I ever get there. :) I am very selective about my friends. They must be active, start and respond to discussions...so, I guess I will just have to wait and see if I ever make it to 200. :)

I currently have 23 friends on Mylot. I wish to have more, because I like it when I get emails about my friends' new topics! I replied to a bunch this morning that way *laugh* But I've only been on Mylot for a bit over a week, so I don't feel like 23 friends is too bad. Especially since most of those have sought me out.. I'm a bit shy to ask very many people to add me as their friend on here unless I feel like they will recognize me from having replied to their discussions! ^_^

yeah most of my friends are ones that have sought me out as well, but if I really enjoy a discussion and look at the person creating it and like the rest of their discussions Ill add them.

I only have about 20 friends. Thought I try to get to all of them every day and answer at least one of their questions. Since, I think, that is what friends are supposed to do.
Maybe myLot should have a acquaintances/friends rating system. Until someone proves themself a friends by answering questions etc, then they stay an acquaintance. I think this would be more realistic, since in real life, I would call many people acquaintances but only a select few are friends.

I have a just Five friends, I have joined recently. Also my friend i have seen all those discussion having 200 and 300 responses, how is it will be possible my friend..?? what is the secret of this?
I am very much surprised that you are getting that much of responses for the single discussions
And also i have seen that you have made the 12595 discussions, within the period of 5 months, how it will be possible for your, approximately how much time will you spend in mylot regularly.
share your experience here, this will be helpful for the people like me.

I have only seven (and you are one of them). I am connected to myLot a little time everyday, so I wouldn't like to see a lot of mails in my box, coming from a lot of friends, as I would not have time to read and answer all of them.
