Are you flexible enough to work on a shifting schedule? Are you a Vampire Worker? Last week, we celebrated Labor Day for Vampire workers. People works on a graveyard shift. Have you experienced working at night? Are you having a hard time sleeping in the morning and problems with your social life? Do think that kind of schedule is not normal? Most company now have 24hours operation time. Morning, Middle and Night. If you can choose an option, what time would it be?

I think I would rather work at night because I'd get better pay and at night you get to concentrate better. Then during the day. If I work at night I start on Sunday night and finishes on Friday morning. That way I won't have to compromise my Sabbath because if I work on Morning/Afternoon shifts I will have to work on Friday nights which is not good for me.

It's true that it has better pay working at night than in the morning. But sometimes, our immune system cannot take it due to the humid. That's why some people got sick working at night because of their weak body. I'm glad in my company, we have time to sleep during lunch breaks.

You are right about the immune system that is why it is very important that you eat lots of fruits and vegetables when you are working at night and avoid chocolates or anything that is sugary because sugar weakens the immune system.

LOL. Vampire worker. I have never heard someone actually using that terms for people who works at night. I am not a graveyard worker, but I like working at night. First of all, I am working online, and the internet connection at night is so much better than it is at day. Of course it would affect my sleeping habit and somehow affecting my social life. Not many people are still awake in the middle of the night til dawn. And it means I have to get some rest at the day so I can work more at night. Second, because of working online, I have to adjust the time with people in majority. Most people I know are from US and I am from Indonesia which has 12hr time different. That sucks. Third, it is quiet at night. It helps me a lot to concentrate to what I was doing. And I think if I was given a chance to work at a company and I can choose whether I would take day or night shift. I would prefer the night shift (since night shift has better payment)

Me and my friends used to call ourselves "Vampires" who hates sunlight because It's really annoying when you go home and the sun is up. It hurts my eye. I agree with having a better pay on night shift.
