What is the purpose of Jesus's crucifixion if people can be judged

I have heard from some christians that those who have heard the gospel of Christ and refused to accept him as Lord and saviour will go to hell. Then what about the billions of people before Christa dn also after Christ who have never heard of Christ? The answer I get is they will be judged according to the law of their land. So, there are two groups of people. One is those who have heard of Christ and second those who never heard of Christ. And I hear hell is a consequence. If I put my hand in fire, it will get burnt. Well, if it is possible for those who never heard of Christ to enter paradise by following the laws of their land and being good, then why cannot the same rule apply to one and all? What is the point of the crucifixion of Jesus? If someone heard of Christa nd rejected hima nd yet is a strict follower of the law of his land, then how is it fair for God to deny him entry to paradise? If I put my hand in fire, it will get burnt. If a child or retard puts his hand in fire, then also it will get burnt. That is consequence. If hell is a consequence and the requirenent for hell is not accepting Christ, then all those who never heard of Christ will have to reach hell, whether they have done good or bad. The rule for the consequence has to be the same for all. Fire always burns. It may not make sense that those who never heard of Christ should go to hell, but that is for the believers to ponder about. However, my main question is the point or purpose of the crucifixion. If more than half the people can be judged according t the law of their land, then Jesus dyng on the cross for man's salvation has no meaning.

Hi Frederick42 . Well like you said, you were hearing that from people. What you heard is incorrect. From John 3:18 we see that Christ Himself said those who do not believe (commit) in Him are already condemned. After all, Rom. 3:10 states all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Now, from John 1:9 we see that the Logos, Christ, lights everyone that comes into the world. Those that believe that Light are authorized to become the sons of God. Even if a person never hears a Holy Bible text or sermon or whatever, John 1:9 states each person that comes in the world meets the Light somehow and in some way (as mentioned in Romans 1). Keep in mind now that that Light is Christ Himself (per what it says in John 1:1-12). Since that is Christ Himself, that includes His precious finished work upon the cross! Also His burial, resurrection and ascension. Hope that helps.

Wow. That is an intense question. One I'm not qualified to answer Lol. Well The people before christ would have been looking forward. Believing that A man would come and die for their sins. And the people living during the same time has him believed He was the one that had come. And now looking back we believe a man came and got nailed to a cross cause we suck. And the other half of your question I might have to come back to. Although I have heard of it before, I haven't had any real definitive answers about it. God will handle it in the end I guess.

Well don't get so up tight about it! There has never been independent proof that Jesus lived in Palestine or for that matter was crucified. In the 21 century learned people don't take ancient and unproven stories seriously, unless there is independent proof. The bible can hardly be considered as proof of anything. For hundreds of years archeologists have been digging feverishly, trying to unearth an antiquity from ancient Palestine that would prove the life of Jesus to say nothing of his crucifixion, but alas, nothing, not even a cue, has ever been unearthed. This is a proof in its self, that the whole story is part of a Huge Scam that was perpetrated on the human race almost 2000 years ago. You are true when you say that Jesus dieing on the cross has no meaning!

There are all kinds of proof of the Bible being real and accurate, and that Jesus did come, die and rise as He said that He would. We have the option to either believe or reject this, but it does not make Him 'non-existant.' Many things are being found that verify scriptural sceneraios that have happened, but some just prefer to not want to believe them, and that is their choice. There are many websites where one can find out the info if one is truely interested. Jesus did say "seek and you WILL find." But you don't find what you don't want to find, or are angry at God about. There are many Old Testament prophecies that have been accurately fulfilled to the letter, and more to be fulfilled even in the time we are living in. Dismissing Him does not make Him not real. God knows the hearts of all mankind from day one, and He deals with humanity according to the desires of their hearts, and His gift to us is our conscience - it will either cause us to seek or reject what is right according to our own personal desires.
