Extra Income

We are moving into a new house and this will be the first home that we have actually purchased. We are putting my child in a more expensive child care as well. Needless to say, we need some extra income. Does anyone have any ideas on how to generate extra income? I have been looking into many "work at home" type jobs, however, the majority of them are scams. Any help would be appreciated.
