It Works Wonder.

Antihistamines. As I mentioned in my other post, it has been an itchy Monday for me. The heat, humidity, and sweat are not helping. I asked for help here. I tried what @jstory07 @arunima25 @jenailse about baking soda baths. Off I go to the shower, it helps for a while. The heat and the sweat make it itchy. I tried hydrocortisone cream, it helps as well but when I wash my hands the cream will all be gone. Finally, I was able to go out to walk and buy antihistamines at the local pharmacy. When I got home, my kids and I take the meds ( we all have the itch). and viola, it works wonders. Now, I wonder who will be the first one to fall asleep.

I'm glad you were able to get the antihistamines at the pharmacy. That's what I have to take, too, when I start itching. Even with the antiallergy shot I get once a month, I still start having allergic reactions to all the pollen in the air here. I start itching and it drives me crazy!

Good that you could go and get your antihistamines. Some allergies won't listen to home remedies. Glad that it has worked . You will sleep well tonight

Yes, that would give you a fast cure and would make you sleepy. Sleep well. , You're now off to dreamland. I always store antihistamines at home because of sudden allergies.

I take antihistamines daily straight for like two weeks then give it a break for the next 2-3 weeks then take again. I have all sorts of allergies so I have my maintenance. But my antihistamines does not make me sleepy. They're the 2nd generation class and they're the non drowsy ones unlike their predecessors, 1st gen class that can make you feel sleepy and has this sedative effect

Antihistamines are helpful, but sometimes instead of making you sleepy they can wind you up. Usually they make me sleepy, though.

Oh yuk, I hope it will help you. I hate to sweat personally...although when I am exercising, I consider it to be good that I am.
