The United States Coast Guard (USCG) answered an emergency call for help on Monday afternoon when a 28 foot catamaran that had two persons aboard and a male dog named Reggie used their personal locator beacon aboard their ship to ask for help when their catamaran was taking on water and ready to sink in the Atlantic Ocean near St. Catherine's Sound Georgia. When the USCG received the emergency call for help, a helicopter from the USCG station in Savannah went to the area of the accident to rescue the two persons whose names and gender were not released. The serviceman of the USCG was able to hoist the two persons and the dog before the catamaran sunk into the ocean. The two persons who were rescued were taken by the USCG to Hunter Army Airfield where they are in good spirits after they were rescued. What caused the catamaran to take in water and sink into the ocean is under investigation. Link is nydailynews.com/news/national/...

As relieved as I am that the people are okay, as usual, I am most relieved to hear the dog has survived too.
