17 October - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from a beautiful sunny day in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA.
Today started out cold. I wore my new jacket this morning to the hospital and Bible study. Good choice. It was warmer when I got home and could dispense with it.
I'm thankful for the way the day went. My hospital appointment was first thing this morning at 8. I'm thankful to the nurse. It was a one-and-done deal with the IV. It also didn't hurt too much. It was one of my best hospital visits. 
I'm thankful for the Bible study. We opted not to turn the heat on because it's very loud. So, the jacket stayed on. It was a wonderful study as we near the end of the book.
I'm thankful for shopping at Hy-Vee. I didn't need a lot and my insurance card covered it. I need to find out how much is left on it.
I'm thankful for my friend who wants to write a book and asked for my help. It is definitely a worthy project. So, I will be working with her to write her book.
That's my day, along with dog-sitting for Missy. I put her out this morning before I left and will do so again tonight before I go to bed. Her mama is coming home tomorrow.

Thankful for getting another group of articles published to Vocal Media. Tomorrow I am also blogging and I have learned to link my Vocal Media articles to my blog so that is a great help as far as readership goes,

I'm thankful the weather wasn't to bad. I'm thankful that we were able to get what we needed. I like that Chilly is happy cuddled up to my husband.

What am I thankful for? That I don't live in Israel, Gaza, Libya, Morocco, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, or numerous other parts of the world where terrible things are happening. This country is a mess but it could be SO much worse.
I remember shopping at HyVee, it was my local supermarket.

You had a busy day!
I'm glad you got a good nurse at the hospital for your IV. I hate those sticks! I think we lost our good nurse at the lab in the clinic where my doctor is. I haven't seen her in the last 2-3 visits there. She used to pull my name when she saw it pop up! She was the best and never hurt me! Others can't get a stick in the vein and end up rolling veins and need to try multiple sticks, call another nurse for help, etc. I want the good nurse back!!

@just4him The hardware store is old fashioned. Its a Father and son running the place. Out of time feel and its located downtown where the antiique stores are. The far corner of the store has vintage and older knick knacks and such. I purchased my glass and brass edged stand for my upper bathroom from that store.

That's a great picture. I'm always thankful for the same things every day...roof over my head, husband that loves me. I just wish there was peace in this crazy world of ours. Have a good day.
