Stanley Cups

Do you own one of these cups that sell for $45-$50 retail? I feel old, I just don't get what all the fuss is about - its just a cup, and really not a particularly handsome cup at that. I'm sure it keeps whatever is in there such that it does not burn your hand or freeze your fingers, but then so do a million other cups and better vacuum flasks. Re-usable straws should really be sold with something to clean them. So you fill the behemoth cup twice a day and spend your day sipping ice cold fresh (backwashed ugh) water through a straw (which does not get washed the whole day ugh), and this keeps one "hydrated". To stay "hydrated" one apparently need one of these hacks. As for collecting these things, no. Standing in long lines in the cold for them or stealing boxes of them, no. I don't get it, especially not at $50 to pay for branding. But hats off to Stanley's CEO. Image from Stanley's website https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/stanley-cup-craze-110-old-014657915.html

They have their purpose. There's a market for it. I chose not to complain. I like my own cups thank you.

News flash. You can get a cup at Dollar Tree that AMAZINGLY does exactly what that cup does. Hold liquid. For a buck and a quarter. lol. Yes. There IS a market for that cup. They are called idiots.

@porwest My husband used to say, if it can be made or thought of, someone's going to try it. I have some insolated cups I love. And, I am fine with that.

@kaylachan Hey. I'm not necessarily knocking it. I have made a lot of money investing in idiots. They can be quite profitable, let me tell you.

I honestly don't know. I guess it's the factor that whatever fluids you put inside of it stay at the temp you're waiting for it to since it's metal and easily holds heat or cold well. My daughter got one for Christmas but I'm very sure it's a knockoff version that I put on her Christmas list because it was Hello Kitty themed which is something she likes. It's cute, but to me a cup a cup.

No way would I pay that for a cup, even if it filled it self up every time I wanted to use it and it washed it self at the end of each use.

Nope. I do not. And I am not paying $50 for a damn cup. The world is insane. And ANYONE who has one better NOT talk to me about "I can't afford to save money." lol I WILL slap them.
