World cat day

Today is World Cat Day, but it seems that our kitties have the right to more than one day a year to celebrate because there is more than one day dedicated to felines on the calendar, February 17th, February 20th, and August 8th. What day do you celebrate your cats?
There are also two dates dedicated just to black cats, August 17th and October 27th. I love black cats! 
Many people think black cats are considered bearers of bad luck and evil and, therefore, are the least adopted and have the highest euthanasia rates.
The two days dedicated to them serve to try to reverse these trends.
If you have cats, don't forget to give them an extra treat this Saturday!

Ask any cat and they’ll tell you that EVERY DAY is “world cat day.” 
I’m allergic so I don’t have any; however, I always have food out for the neighborhood cats that wander into my back yard.

No Cats as pets here.
Yet I feel sorry especially for the Black Cats.
The superstitions associated with them persist here as well.
In India, the ecosystem for adopting and keeping Cats as Pets is much more lower than many other nations.
Even in the case of Dogs, we have been having numerous issues and a lot of guidelines.
Also keeping a Pet means quite a big maintenance cost and emotional and physical strains in getting treatments.
Yet, for Cat Owners, such dates serve to reinforce their bond with the Cats.

I didn't give my cats (4 cats) treats Saturday, but I did give them treats today to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Thank you, he and his siblings were abandoned when they were kittens, a friend rescued them and we decided to bring this one. He is adorable and we love him.

Nice looking moggie! I don't have a cat myself, but the neighbour's cat keeps coming over to sleep - I've no idea why. I don't think I've ever met a cat I didn't like.
