Spring Animals

I live in a place with a pond outside of the door. There is a small patio with chairs and a small table. Just a few feet away, there is a small pond. It is connected to other ponds by a tunnel system.
I hardly ever see any animals here. However, there are many birds. Some are large white or gray birds that wade in the water. I don't know their names. I expect to see their little ones following them on walks around the pond.
Others are swimmers. I see ducks sometimes. They are usually in pairs. I call them Mr. and Mrs. Puddleduck. I know there will be baby ducks.
I see pairs of smaller birds looking for nesting materials. I wish I get to see some baby birds.
Spring is exciting. It promises renewal and new life. I can't wait.
What kind of animals do you see in your neighborhood? Are you excited for spring?

Sadly, spring makes me down a bit..it was Mama's favorite season and now she is gone. RIP
I try to think she is having the best spring ever now though.
There are many wildlife around this way in spring and all seasons too.

@wolfgirl569 You never know what could happen. I lifted the lid of my garbage can outside and saw a skunk in there. I just slid the lid back on and left him alone. He was gone the next time I needed to take out the trash.

Yes, I'm very excited for spring:) We see a few squirrels scampering around. At City Park, I watch mama ducks with baby ducklings. Not yet, but very soon I'll be seeing them. Also, Canadian geese fly in and occasionally, I see deer with their fawns. Quite often, they birth twins:) Feral cats are all over the place.

That is awesome. Baby ducks are the best. I have a fond memory of watching a mama ducks and 11 babies swimming in a lake early one morning.
Feral cats live everywhere, I think. A place I used to live was full of them. Residents adopted some of the babies but most were just wild.

@akalinus These ducks cross a busy highway, twice each day. People from businesses come out into the highway and block traffic, to let the string of babies pass over safely:)

I’m not excited for spring because last week it was 86 degrees, so spring will be worse. Plus, spring is prime tornado season. That being said, I can enjoy the beauty of the upcoming season, and appreciate it when I try.
I see a lot of birds, rabbits, and an occasional fox. We have a creek at the back of my apartment complex, with an awful lot of trees, so critters will come out once in awhile.

@akalinus If you come to our town;you would see hundreds of wild parrots on the branches of trees at the outskirts of our town.
