Inspection Finally

Well, the guy finally came at about 11:30a. and was by himself. (Usually, there is an entire tribe of them.) He said everything looked good. Was not sure about the cat litter box. (The apartment is designed so that the downstairs bathroom is just across from the front door. Anyone coming in from outdoors might smell the cats.) So he will check with the Housing Authority on that. We have been in this apartment for 20 years and we have had cats for all of them. So whatever. We will see what next horror they have in store for us.
Sure glad that is over.

I absolutely despise inspections. This house is not due for another two or so years, The last one I had no chance to do much in the apartment with cats and with other stuff, So I just sat at my PC while my friend walked around with them, There were two and they just walked about and then my friend said that was it we are fine, I am glad you have passed too and hope you don't have to switch the litter box,

So glad I'm not the only one. I have nightmares about these things. The only issue was the cat litter box. Go figure----it is directly across from the front door. Anyone coming in could smell it. We've been in this apartment for 20 years and had cats every one of them. Come on!

We really need more than one for five cats. Just can't figure out where to put a second one.

@celticeagle Me, too. I can't put a pan in the laundry room due to that door often being locked.

I know the HA will be back about it. I don't see how it can be totally alleviated. The cat litter box is just across the living room and inside the downstairs bathroom. I don't know of another place that would be out of the way to put it. They have said something about the litter box in the past. It is both embarrassing and rather irritating. I really don't know what to do except change it every other day and clean up as needed.

You have been there a long time. How often do they do these inspections? Have they said anything before about the cats?

They do them annually and there is a maintenance one, an HQS one, and then a property management. it's a lot of fun--NOT.

Over for now. I sure don't need any more stress. I get sick if it gets too bad. We will have property management coming back.
