What is a significant decision you have ever made in your life?

I took the significant decision to work online more than ten years ago. It is an important turning point in my life that I am powerless to reverse. Nevertheless, I still have the ability to choose my career's future path. In particular, my parents are no longer with me. I choose to work from home because of them. Why is it that certain people enjoy discussing options with others?

There are people who feel the need to "get approved" about their decisions. Others do as they like without asking.

I agree. When my mother is alive, I always ask her opinions before making the final decision. Now, it is my way of dealing with it.

I decided to learn something new, but I am not able to motivate myself to do this.

Even I have some ideas for doing new things. But I cannot push through due to personal reasons.

I really hope you can still be happy; you deserve that. I guess for me, the most significant decision (not spiritual) was to go to college two years early, at sixteen. It had consequences I never could have imagine, almost all of them good.

I went along with my personal decisions before, during, and after certain career paths in my life. I never felt regret for having these jobs. The most important is to learn from the good and part of having them.

I did not see myself as a teacher during my school days. At that time, I was aiming to be a physiotherapist, and I practiced it for several years and became a consultant under the umbrella of UNICEF in Tajikistan. But then, I still need to explore my capabilities and soft skills for different jobs, and that includes teaching online. I enjoyed being a virtual teacher. If I am going back to work offline, I will still teach online as a part-timer.

@Shavkat Teaching someone in any field provides one with great satisfaction. To assist others is a noble pursuit.

To go to the art class. When I left school I wanted to be an artist, so I told my careers adviser I wanted to go on an art course. She said, There's not much call for that these days, is there? Why don't you go on an art and design course instead. So stupidly I said yes. I went on an art and design YTS. It was not what I wanted and I wasted about 2 years of my life on that. It was only recently when I decided to find an art course to go to. I went on one last year. It wasn't full time, it was just 14 weeks, but in that time I learned more than I did throughout my school days! The last two weeks were a week if mounting and then an exhibition. I'm going again this year, but they've changed the course and gone private. This time it's only 12 weeks, with no mounting week or exhibition. It's starts on 9 May.

I can feel your sentiment. Even I cannot pursue my further studies because there are so many changes. Although I am still thinking about whether I have to continue taking another master's degree or not, I hope you can find the best one for you. As they said, we need to follow our hearts when doing things in our lives.

@Shavkat I hope you choose the right thing to do. Like I said, I'm going to the art class this year, so I've already found it!.
