Back From the Beach / myLot

This past weekend, my husband and I had the privilege of spending two days at the beach. Panama City Beach in Florida is one of our favorite places to vacation. I would love to be able to move to Florida- Panama City, Pensacola, or Destin. Last weekend was my husband's birthday, so instead of buy him a gift, I decided we would go on a short beach trip. Our money was very limited, so most of the time was spent hanging out at the beach. And that was fine with both of us. I am so thankul for this little get-away. We had some good conversations that we have been to busy to have. We have started having our nightly devotionals and prayer time again. That is where the strength in a relationship lies.

That's the ideal way to celebrate a birthday I think. Most of us older people don't really have need for a lot.

My husband and I, neither of us have ever really wanted alot as far as material possessions. We have never been a fan of adventures. The biggest and best adventure was raising our family. But as you said, as we get older, we seem to want less.

This sounds like the perfect little getaway. I would love to do something like this with my husband. Spending time together is the best gift of all! I am glad that you had good conversations.
