Yesterday, the final round outdoors was planting the plum trees we bought last week. We finally got them in the ground! We were both tired of working in the garden, so veered off to get this job done.
Hubby already had the holes dug so it was pretty easy setting them in and covering them up. I am glad that we got them in the ground since we have 85% chance of rain tomorrow.
Do you have fruit trees in your yard?

Great that you'll get some rain tomorrow to set them in good. No fruit trees here. We are lucky to have a yard.

I no longer have a garden but you reminded me of the old days when back in Latvia my mother-in-law had about three plum trees that produced well. My hubby and I would pick those plums and there were crates of them and then we brought them to the Central Market and friends would sell the plums and it gave his mom and us some nice added income,

We have a pear tree in the front flower bed. We used to have a lot more fruit trees at our previous home. Have a good weekend.

@LindaOHio Oh wow! I don't know if the ones at my grandparents are still there or not. The property was sold many years ago and we don't have any relatives living there anymore so don't go back there much.

@kareng Thanks. I remember big pear trees in the yard at my grandmother's house. It's now a parking lot. :-(

I don't. Moving is always in the back of my mind and fruit trees require some commitment.

We have a few trees, but not a lot. George is happy about that.

I hope you get some rain. They will love it. I have cherry and apple. A pear tree too. Mulberries growing wild around the property. I see a tree blooming just outside the pasture this year. From here it looks like it could be a cherry. I will check later this year

@kareng Depending on the type you might need 2. Make sure to check that. Some are not self pollinating
