Four out of six

Rufus pup and I went to the town just South of us and bought some dirt. I'm all things dirt though the store insists on calling it soil. My little car did not appreciate five bags of dirt in its trunk and one in its back seat. Each bag weighs forty pounds. The senior thrift store is next door so yes, Rufus and I snooped in there. I found some pretty plates for a little garden project.
Home to the question of how to get those six heavy bags into the yard?? The dolly helped but getting each bag out and onto the dolly was the huge issue.
The bag in the back seat not only got stuck but a hole or two also popped up. So some dirt is not in its bag. The mailman saw our struggles. Sweet guy came over and hefted the naughty bag of dirt out. He brought it into the yard even though Rufus barks and jumps every time he sees that nice mailman. Heart of gold.
We will work on the other two bags after lunch. I hope everyone is having a grand day.

No, it is SOIL! My old boss would never let us refer to soil as dirt! I worked at the LSU Biogeochemistry Institute and we did lots of studies on soil, erosion, etc. So it caught on and now I find myself correcting my husband when he says dirt!
That was nice of your mailman to lend a hand!!

@sallypup It was! I ran the office and supervised 4-5 student workers. My main job was payroll and changing funding over online for the various grants. I enjoyed the studies and often did research for the director when I was all caught up on my work.

@celticeagle The bags of dirt were 5 dollars each. I guess I could have purchased a pallet to make the cost reasonable.

You are very ambitious with all those bags of dirt. You have to be careful with things like that so you don't further disable yourself. Hire somebody if need be.
