Winds Wreaking Havoc With Electricity

United States
April 19, 2024 4:50pm CST
Tuesday, it was so windy here, a friend of mine had a great deal of trouble with her TV set. It wouldn't show anything. While visiting her, she was unable to see anything. Well, when I got home my son told me he tried to call me three times. But it never rang. So I called and it said his phone had been turned off. I knew that couldn't be right. I checked 3 times and it said the same thing. When I checked my email the payment had been made, so I guess the wind was messing with phones too. I even tried to send texts, and they wouldn't go through. The wind caused some strange things in my area.

The wind can mess with a lot anymore as many signals travel through the air

Its been windy here too, but nothing like that I hate the wind, so damaging at any given time. We can predict rain, sometimes wind hard to predict even if they know its coming.

We also have a strong wind blowing from two days. I am grateful we have no problems with electricity despite the wind.

Sounds like the winds may have either took trees down onto lines or lines down. Hope everything gets resolved soon for you.

Sometimes Jay can't receive calls, because his cell phone got turned off. When he checks, it's off and he didn't do this! Night before last, the wind here was really blowing hard!

High winds can cause electrical troubles since when the tornado hit my area a week ago, I had no television, telephone and internet service.
