19 April - What I'm Thankful for Today

Can you believe I almost forgot the thankful post? Today has been a different day.
I have much to be thankful for. How about you?
Today has been a good day in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA where the temperature reached 50 and has been very windy all day, giving us a wind chill factor easily felt when you go outside.
I'm thankful for the sleep I got last night. Seven and a half hours. More than usual. Or maybe it's becoming the new norm to sleep later. I have been getting a lot of sleep lately. Dawn was just about to make an appearance when I opened my eyes at 5:45 this morning. Yes, I know that's late for me.
I'm thankful for spending time with you today and seeing what's happening in your world. You're a huge part of my day. I still have the notifications to finish before I log off the computer.
I'm thankful I got the information to Social Services today for my FoodShare benefits. I didn't realize at the time we were supposed to shelter in place with the shooting in the neighborhood.
I'm thankful for the work I did on In the Hands of Mighty Men and Faith to Believe. I worked on a chapter in each book.
I'm thankful I have all my steps. I only need to work out on the foot cycle to get my usual quota for the day, though I won't change it to a higher number. My goal is 6000 steps per day. My usual step count is between 10K and 13K. Usually in the 10K range.
I'm thankful I got the website updated. I also learned the best site to promote it is Instagram not Pinterest. I'll be looking into that.
Okay, it's been a full day with all the excitement going on as well. I learned someone shot a teenage boy, who they expect to recover. I don't know if they found the other person they were looking for when we were told to shelter in place.

Well, that is certainly scary, but I am glad the boy is going to be okay. And that you didn’t get in any kind of crossfire. I am thankful my nephew’s surgery was moved to Monday morning instead of having to wait. He’s basically getting his entire nose deconstructed, and the sooner the healing starts, the better. I’m also thankful, and I know this sounds odd, that God showed me the truth about somebody today. I tend to see the best in people, and I feel like God woke me up.

A shooting in your neighborhood? Scary. I haven't been on Instagram for over a year. I should go over there. I just don't like the way it is set up.

I was thankful I finally talked to someone about fixing the oven today..although I think I will probably end up going with someone else..not sure I trust this guy..He is gonna be on the back burner..pun not intended..

I made a Pintrest account years ago but haven't been to it in ages. Instagram I check into a couple times a week when I have time to.
I slept in too this morning, until 6:45. I actually wanted to try and sleep a little more since I haven't been sleeping these past few nights as well, but I couldn't. Maybe I can sleep in in the morning.
I am thankful I got to stay home today. I didn't do a lot, read some for my SS lesson on Sunday, watched some tennis. It was a quiet day, and you know I am always thankful for that.

I'm glad the boy is expected to recover. I'm glad my husband will continue to get PT at the rehab facility even though it will be very expensive to keep him there. Have a good weekend.

Sounds like a good day, minus the excitement that you shared about earlier. But that is good he's expected to recover....scary though not knowing if they found the other person
