Day 97 – Offering Leviticus 6:1 JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “If a person sins and commits a trespass against JEHOVAH by lying to his neighbor about what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or about a pledge, or about a robbery, or if he has extorted from his neighbor, 3 or if he found what was lost and lies concerning it, and swears falsely—in any one of these things a man may do in which he sins: 4 then it will be, because he sinned and is guilty, he will restore what he stole, or the thing which he extorted, or what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or the lost thing which he found, 5 or everything he has sworn falsely. He will restore its full value, add one-fifth more to it, and give it to whomever it belongs, on the day of his trespass offering. 6 “He will bring his trespass offering to JEHOVAH, a ram without blemish from the flock, with your valuation, as a trespass offering, to the priest. 7 The priest will make atonement for him before JEHOVAH, and I will forgive him for any one of these things he may have done in which he trespasses.” 8 Then JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 9 “Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering will be on the hearth upon the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar will be kept burning on it. 10 The priest will put on his linen garment, and his linen trousers he will put on his body and take up the ashes of the burnt offering which the fire consumed on the altar, and he will put them beside the altar. 11 Then he will take off his garments, put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place. 12 He will keep the fire on the altar burning on it; it will not be put out. The priest will burn wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he will burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. 13 A fire will always burn on the altar; it will never go out. 14 ‘This is the law of the grain offering: The sons of Aaron will offer it on the altar before JEHOVAH. 15 He will take from it his handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, with its oil, and the frankincense which is on the grain offering, and will burn it on the altar for a sweet aroma, as a memorial to JEHOVAH. 16 The remainder of it, Aaron and his sons will eat; with unleavened bread they will eat it in a holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of meeting they will eat it. 17 They will not bake it with leaven. I gave it as their portion of My offerings made by fire; it is most holy, like the sin offering and the trespass offering. 18 Every male among the children of Aaron may eat it. It will be a statute forever in your generations concerning the offerings made by fire to JEHOVAH. Everyone who touches them must be holy.’” 19 JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 20 “This is the offering of Aaron and his sons, which they will offer to JEHOVAH, beginning on the day when he is anointed: one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a daily grain offering, half of it in the morning and half of it at night. 21 Make it in a pan with oil. When mixed, you will bring it in. The baked pieces of the grain offering you will offer for a sweet aroma to JEHOVAH. 22 The priest from among his sons, anointed in his place, will offer it. It is a statute forever to JEHOVAH. The priest will burn it entirely. 23 He will burn every grain offering for the priest entirely. He will not eat it.” 24 JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 25 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where you kill the burnt offering, you will kill the sin offering before JEHOVAH. It is most holy. 26 The priest who offers it for sin will eat it. In a holy place you will eat it, in the court of the tabernacle of meeting. 27 Everyone who touches its flesh must be holy. When its blood is sprinkled on any garment, you will wash that on which it was sprinkled, in a holy place. 28 But you will break the earthen vessel in which it is boiled. If it is boiled in a bronze pot, you will scour it and rinse it in water. 29 All the males among the priests may eat it. It is most holy. 30 But no sin offering from which any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of meeting, to make atonement in the holy place, will be eaten. It will be burned in the fire. God’s name: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Yeshuwa – Jesus God’s character: Judge Every day people go to court over various matters involving theft. In every case the judge issues a monetary value as restoration to the person found guilty of the theft. JEHOVAH told Moses what to do concerning matters of thievery, robbery, and extortion. The guilty party needed to bring a trespass offering to JEHOVAH and add a fifth part to it as restitution for what he stole. He also told Moses how the priests were to handle the various offerings brought to Him for restitution. JEHOVAH also told Moses the altar for the burnt offering was never to go out. The priests were to keep it burning night until morning when they would burn another burnt offering. They were also to take the ashes to a clean place outside the camp. When the people killed Yeshuwa, they did so outside the walls of Jerusalem. Outside the walls was a clean place. It was where they brought the ashes of the sin offering. Yeshuwa poured out His blood at the base of the cross. In the clean place. Yeshuwa became the burnt offering, the trespass offering, the sin offering, and the grain offering. As a burnt offering, He continues to burn night and day in your life. As a trespass offering, He took your sins and nailed them to the cross. He didn’t add one-fifth as restitution, He gave everything as restitution for your sins. As the sin offering, He cleansed you from your sin with His blood in the clean place. As the grain offering, you eat His body and drink His blood when you take communion, remembering what Yeshuwa did for you on Calvary. He took your place so you wouldn’t need to make continual sacrificial offerings for sin. He restored you to the Father with His blood poured out for you on Calvary. As His child, you cannot wash the blood from your life as the priests could scour it from the vessels they used. You are the vessel. JEHOVAH sees the blood on your life as restitution for your sin. You are clean because Yeshuwa paid for it. Have you brought your offering, your life, to Yeshuwa to cleanse you from your sin? Have you accepted Him as your Savior and Lord? Are you washed in His blood? When you accept Yeshuwa as your Savior and Lord, He cleanses you with His blood so you can stand before JEHOVAH free from guilt. What say you? Let’s pray: Father, thank you for the sacrifice, Jesus made on the cross for me. Thank you that I am made clean through His blood and can stand before you without guilt, free from my sin and shame. Let me never forget the sacrifice He made for me, but always give You praise for the precious blood He gave for my sin. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. God sacrificed his son for us, and so we need to sacrifice our own lives for God, by denouncing sin, and trying to live a pure life for God.
