How many hours of sleep do you get every day?

I got shorter hours of sleep because our school moved the start of the class at 5:30 am and so I have to wake up at 3:30 am. It is too early for me, and I move so slow during the day because I still feel sleepy. I also cannot sleep early because I love browsing my phone of reading before I sleep.

I agree that 3:30 a.m. is really too early to get up in the morning. You should try to sleep earlier.

@LadyDuck Yes, you are right. Lack of sleep can really affect our overall health and mood. How many hours do you sleep?

Wow! You can sleep for 12 hours? I think I can only do that after a long travel by plane.

@annierose it is because of my medicine. Before I started taking it I slept 1-2 hours a night every night.

@LovesEverybody I see. It is a good thing that your medicine has been able to help you get the rest you need. Going from only 1-2 hours sleep to a full 12 hours must make a big difference in how you feel during the day.

A 5:30am class is too early for me. I get 6-8 hours of sleep each day. I'm used to it, no matter what time I started sleeping.

It sounds like you have a solid sleep routine already established, which is great for maintaining overall health and well-being. Waking up at 5:30 am might indeed feel too early for you, especially if it disrupts your established sleep patterns.

I only sleep for 6 hours, sometimes only 4 hours.

It sounds like you might not be getting as much rest as you need. While some people can function well on 6 hours sleep, consistently getting less than that, especially on 4 hours, may affect your health and well-being in the long run.

@May2k8 Is there something that troubles you at night, that is why you sometimes sleep in less than 6 hours?

@annierose It's true that my body feels thinner than it did a few years ago.

@TheHorse Oh, that is good. When I go to my room at night, I don't usually think of going straight to bed. Instead , I want to do more other things. I guess those things make me sleep later than the time I should go straight to bed.

I get about 6 hours of sleep at night, and about an hour of combined naps during the day. When I was younger, I'd sleep 12 hours straight. It seems so impossible now, but I'm thankful I can afford daytime naps. I'm sorry you had to get up so early for work. Do you teach in a public school?

Yes, I am a public school teacher. Due to the hot weather, the classes were moved from 7am to 5:30 am. I think I sleep around 6 hours every day but someone says its not enough.

@annierose 7 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.? I've heard of the change in schedules. In Pasig, classes were switched to distance learning because of the extreme heat index.

Most times I get between 6 and 8 hours of sleep. I try to take a nap in the afternoon but that always make me sleep late

It sounds like you are trying to find a balance between getting enough rest and not affecting your bedtime. Have you considered adjusting the timing or duration of your afternoon nap to see if it helps you to sleep better at night?
