Day 100 – The Glory of JEHOVAH Leviticus 9:1 On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel, 2 and said to Aaron, “Take for yourself a young bull as a sin offering and a ram as a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before JEHOVAH. 3 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Take a kid of the goats as a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt offering, 4 also a bull and a ram as peace offerings, to sacrifice before JEHOVAH, and a grain offering mixed with oil; for today JEHOVAH will appear to you.’” 5 They brought what Moses commanded before the tabernacle of meeting. The congregation drew near and stood before JEHOVAH. 6 Then Moses said, “This is the thing which JEHOVAH commanded you to do, and the glory of JEHOVAH will appear to you.” 7 Moses said to Aaron, “Go to the altar, offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people. Offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as JEHOVAH commanded.” 8 Aaron, therefore, went to the altar and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. 9 Then the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him. He dipped his finger in the blood, put it on the horns of the altar, and poured the blood at the base of the altar. 10 But the fat, the kidneys, and the fatty lobe from the liver of the sin offering he burned on the altar, as JEHOVAH had commanded Moses. 11 The flesh and the hide he burned with fire outside the camp. 12 He killed the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons presented to him the blood, which he sprinkled around on the altar. 13 Then they presented the burnt offering to him, with its pieces and head, and he burned them on the altar. 14 He washed the entrails and the legs and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar. 15 Then he brought the people’s offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and killed it and offered it for sin, like the first one. 16 He brought the burnt offering and offered it according to the prescribed manner. 17 Then he brought the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar, besides the burnt sacrifice of the morning. 18 He also killed the bull and the ram as sacrifices of peace offerings, which were for the people. And Aaron’s sons presented to him the blood, which he sprinkled around on the altar, 19 and the fat from the bull and the ram—the fatty tail, what covers the entrails and the kidneys, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver; 20 and they put the fat on the breasts. Then he burned the fat on the altar; 21 but the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved as a wave offering before JEHOVAH, as Moses had commanded. 22 Then Aaron lifted his hand toward the people, blessed them, and came down from offering the sin offering, the burnt offering, and peace offerings. 23 Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting and came out and blessed the people. Then the glory of JEHOVAH appeared to the people, 24 and fire came out from before JEHOVAH and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces. God’s name: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Theos – Mighty God God’s character: Glory What would you do to gain approval from those in authority over you? You would obey them. As children, you obeyed your parents, your teachers, and then as adults you obeyed your employers. You obeyed the rules of the household, the classroom, the workplace, and the laws of the country. You became model citizens so people would look up to you and give their appreciation and approval for the work you do. JEHOVAH instructed Moses to tell Aaron and his sons how they could honor Him. His instructions were specific about the sacrifice they were to give Him so He could show them His glory. When Aaron and His sons did what Moses told them, and in turn told the children of Israel what they were to do, and did everything JEHOVAH required, His glory came down and consumed the sacrifice. When the people saw JEHOVAH’S glory, they fell on their faces and worshiped. You want JEHOVAH’S glory in your life. You want to know His approval in everything you do for Him. You gain his approval by your obedience to Him. You no longer offer sacrifices of bulls and goats. Instead, you offer the sacrifice of praise. Hebrews 13:15 Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to Theos, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 16 Do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices Theos is well pleased. You offer your bodies to Theos as a living sacrifice. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Theos, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Theos, which is your reasonable service. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of Theos. When you live in obedience to JEHOVAH, His glory will shine through your life, and everyone will know you spend time in His presence. Let JEHOVAH’S glory fill you today, consume every part of you, so that you will know His perfect will for your life. Let’s pray: Father, fill me with Your presence. Let my mouth give You praise. Let my life become a living sacrifice to You, so that Your glory will fill me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 27 April 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

@just4him I often burn the candle at both ends, and the result is that I don't always get the proper amount of sleep I need. I'm generally a very happy, upbeat and positive person, but on some days I'm just so tired that it's hard for me to project God's glory. I try my best, and have to keep praying for forgiveness for not living out the example Christ set for us.

@moffittjc It's hard when you burn the candle at both ends. It's good you're a positive, happy, upbeat person. It will go a long way in your walk with Christ. People will see Christ shining through you in your personality.

Too many young people today do not obey authority, especially their parents, let alone obey His word. Have a blessed day.
