Why is it so hot?

Many have asked me this question in recent days. I haven't been able to answer them satisfactorily. The usual reasons written in the environment studies books/ geography books , though I believe are true but the weather we are condemned to suffer through is unusual. The thermometers of some areas in Bengal have been pointing at 44 or 45 degree Celcius. This already unbearable at this time. Yes, we do have such hellish days in the height of summer in June, never in April. I have been drinking water all day. But the thirst never goes away. Oh how long? How long will we have to these fiery days? No one knows. We can only pray and hope for rain. A good shower would be so cooling.

Those temperatures would be very hard to cope with. I do hope you get rain soon - and cooler temperatures.

No relief so far. People are talking that a storm is coming on Saturday or Sunday. Hope it will change the weather.

This is awful and we can't avoid it. We had 30 degrees here too in April which is very unusual.

I don't ho out during the day to be on the safe side. But even our house gets hot and doesn't cool down at night. The walls radiate heat through the night hours.

It's been on a lot of people's minds lately, including mine. The scorching temperatures we're experiencing seem beyond the usual April heat. It's like we've fast-forwarded to the peak of summer already! Staying hydrated is a must, but even that doesn't seem to ease the relentless thirst. Let's keep our fingers crossed for some relief soon, maybe a refreshing rain shower to cool things down a bit.

Hope a rain might fall on Saturday or Sunday. People are talking that a storm is coming soon. That might cool down the temperature to some bearable level.
