Yesterday was a miserable day for me. I hadn't gotten much sleep the night before and, our kitty, Colbert was on the prowl and wanted out. He tends to go through the house meowing this loud forlorn meow that makes it very difficult for a person to sleep right at the time I am getting sleepy. Of course, he wants to go outside and be a cat but, but Mom says 'no'. So I contended with that. All body parts scream at me when I haven't slept. Plus, I just felt rancid for some reason. The one spot that really grabbed me and made me set up and take notice was my right butt cheek. Each time I moved or turned to the right it would shoot pain like a lightning bolt to the receivers in my brain. This poor septuagenarian was in trouble. I took an Aleve and even thought of taking two. No relief. Then I remembered I had gotten some Aspercreme recently. I took some of that and rubbed it into my right butt cheek. After just a few minutes--the earth moved and the sea parted-- Ureka! The pain subsided. I was able to sleep for about 3 1/2 hours. Oh, and by the way, it seems that Tinker Bell has a cousin who has surfaced recently. His name is Taco Bell.

@celticeagle I will have to remember that. I could have used it 8 weeks ago when my knee was out of whack.

@sallypup .......I know about the 'freezing up' factor. Oh, man, it can get me. Very worrying indeed.

@celticeagle Yes Ma'am. Sciatica is a major reason why you won't catch me on a treadmill but I will exercise in water. I've been dealing with a deep pain that freezes me up and this time around it may be intestional as well as spinal. Very worrying
