Chickadees "dee dee dee!" are common in my corner. They're plump sweet songbirds. And red headed house finches. I bought some protein rich songbird food few weeks ago. I put a shepherd's crook and a feeder out in my side yard. Such fun! I need to position my chair so that I can see out there easier- wish I had a bigger window but that is way out in outer space, money wise. I can easily see the black arch that we put over the brick walk, though. Several times a bird has used the top of the arch as a perch. Even a blue jay. Rain has fallen most of today. I wish I could paint the sight of rain drops on the black arch that I look at now. Simple straight black lines and clear water beads. My hubby gave me the arch as a Mother's Day gift. I'm grateful and delighted as I think how I could move my chair to best advantage.

They must be fun to watch. I saw a bluebird the other day, and they are not very common around here. Of course it moved before I got a pic.

I saw another squirrel out with Norman today. They are so cute scampering in the trees.

Birds are so interesting to watch and to listen to as well. I went out to light the grill the other night, at least an hour before dark and heard an owl hooting from not far away. I couldn't spot him and it kept up for ten minutes or so. Maybe he/she found a date.

@JamesHxstatic Fortunate you. I've only heard an owl hoot once or twice. Gorgeous birds.

@JamesHxstatic I would love to see that eagle owl. Two silly mourning doves just flew in for a snack but the feeder is about the size of one of their feet so they flew off.

@sallypup They really are. Local rescue place has an eagle owl that can't fly, but what a sight.
